fitness88 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 From flying the sim and all the posts I've read I'm beginning to feel that DCS in their attempt to turn FC3 beta version into FC3 finished version is going 1 foot forward and 12 inches back? Version 1.2.3 over 1.2.2 has some new improvements...and some new bugs to add to the already existing bugs from 1.2.2 that never got fixed. I also feel that by the time they get close to a finished version of FC3, there will be some new beta module that will get everyone's attention away from FC3 beta. And so the cycle continues of buying into the world of beta. I'm trying to be patient but I'm getting frustrated with every plane in FC3 having multiple bugs that results in wasting time trying to figure out what you're doing wrong only to read a post declaring a bug in the sim. I'm writing this post in the hope the people at DCS will realise that the selling of beta products is in itself an obligation to turn out a bug free finished version in the most timely mannor possible. Thank you. 2

Give me one game/software which is bug free. From the support ED is giving FC3 i wouldnt complain. You get new 6dof cockpits, 3d cockpits, whole lot of updates and alle the bugfixes World will give. I dunno but ever read all the bugfixes they already fixed. Network code was such one of it. P.S. No one told you to buy the BETA so if it has bugs then yeah duh :D

whartsell Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 IMHO since they are still in "add features" phase you are likely to see more bugs for a while until they are feature complete. Once feature complete they will most likely turn most/all attention to fixing bugs. Typically in the current phase only major bugs and "low hanging fruit" will be addressed. This is drawn in my 13 years exp in software development. This is also why it's still a beta. If bugs bother you don't touch it until its near a release candidate. fitness88 Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 (edited) I appreciate all your opinions that's why I posted and if my thinking is not in accordance with public opinion then I'm satisfied to know that as well. I would prefer having the bugs out of what they have now before any more add-ons are written in, but based on what has been posted that doesn't seem to be the procedure. I bought into Beta happily knowing there would be bugs for a little while but I just don't feel that after all these months we should still be in dealing with so many Beta bugs. Thanks for the feedback. Edited March 9, 2013 by fitness88
