bart Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Has the accuracy been turned down for the AGM-65 all models in the last update? I use the JTAC Live Range single mission download for JTAC and weapons practice and the second target you get are 3 tanks in the middle of the street in a village. I used to hit these no problem 9 times out of 10 with a destroyed result, even when they have moved after the initial attack into the built up area. Now I'm lucky if I get 1 hit in 10!!!!! I get a good lock with the flashing cursor.....fire and either the missile does nothing and goes astray or it hits the ground near the tank but doesn't even scratch it. Something has changed here........or I'm doing something wrong, but to get a good lock and still miss 9 times out of 10.....makes these missiles nothing more than expensive fireworks!!!!!!! Hamblue Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 They have been very accurate for me. However kills aren't always displaying but still recording. Jona33 Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 I launched a few last night and didn't see a problem. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

bart Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 with the launch of the 1.2.3 one out of 4 mavs was not accurate indeed once i update the latest 1.2.3 update 1 i have launch many of them last night and every mav found the target keep in mind that the mavericks is not always accurate I'm running 1.2.3 also and with update 1 installed. :joystick: I've just repeated the mission and I'm getting better results if I put the TGP on to the target, make SPI, slave the mav to the SPI then manually slew it about a bit until I get the flashing cross.....before I wasn't slewing it around manually, just slaving the mav to the SPI then TMS up short repeatedly until I got a lock and firing which seems to cause the miss, especially if the target is in a built up area. Out in the open this method works well as the target is obvious and stands out from the back ground to the seeker head of the weapon, but I guess with all those buildings around it causes problems.... Hamblue Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Moving the mav to the target should also work. If you have several vehicles just use TGP to target the first, then assign mav to spi. remember to china hat forward to zoom with the mav. After you shoot the first mav immediately zoom with the mav and find the next target/tms up to target. Practice and you should be able to get off all the mavs including hits on all of them. Dejjvid Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Did they fix the EO timer? IIRC the degradation was not implemented before, or at least not noticeable. I've never had any problems at all with accuracy, but then again I only activate them before I plan to use them. Perhaps you are spooling up the Mavs too early? i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]
