An awesome feature in my mind would be an interface to add and use whatever radio you want (ie. you want your ground troops to have two FM radio and one UHF radio ? Add the radios, set the frequencies and transmit buttons and there you go).

For the simpler modules (CA, FC3), this would allow not being limited by whatever radios would be built-in TARS, and would also allow human AWACS, ATC and such to use TARS without a DCS module to go with it.

Sure hope there will be a com radio for CA and FC3 in TARS. We use TARS for the A-10C flights in 138th now and I think finaly all members got it working with some installation help ;)

Hm it´s a pitty. CA is good for JTAC, but as long TARS dosn´t work it´s useless. In MP engagement everyone uses TARS. There is no need for a perfect Radio like in the A10, just one single transmitted channel (e.g. emergency 121.5) will do!

The numerous changes introduced in World has kept me behind the curve there, but it is on the list of things to do.

Glad to hear it. You are doing an awesome job with TARS

What is TARS?

It's an ingenious bit of software that is an unofficial (though ED should pay handsomely for the rights and incorporate it into DCS IMO) add-on to DCS. It works through Teamspeak to make the radios function much more like the real thing, such as having to be tuned to the right frequency, distance fade, etc.

ED likes to find new ways to break it with updates :) but it is well worth getting, and is a must-have for anyone who wants to use realistic radio ops for their squad. Not so much a necessity if you like to just hang out in public servers and have a common TS channel, but it won't interfere with that as you can turn it off easy enough.

Jep, TARS have to work between two Applications with changing interfaces. Worst case i guess and i suggest a Silver Star for the Developer *thumbs up*

But anyhow, we need at least one frequency in Tars witch works in DCS CA and DCS World :)
