sedenion Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I think DCS:World : 1) Needs a dedicated server executable as background/deamon process, without licence need ( assuming nothing will be playable, it is just a deamon ), idealy a Linux daemon ( porting a C/C++/LUA program from windows to linux without any sound/3d/graphics is not so complicated ). 2) ED should runs some dedicated servers, always online, with specific and standard multiplayers missions (Skirmish, coop', death-match-like, team-deathmatch-like, realistics scenarios, etc...) to make the game "ready to play" online for a large public with several gameplays with good performances and good ping. I think that will greatly improve the whole thing... What the community think about, what ED team think about ?
joey45 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 AFAIK A DS is on the books....... Just don't know when it will happen. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
