Guest amigsinchi Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Just purchased LO and loaded it on my HP5300. When I go into game mode and begin playing, my computer eventually goes into hibernation b/c it says I'm out of battery power. This does not happen any other time while I'm using my computer. Any ideas on what's wrong?
Maximus_G Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Does it really work on batteries while you're playing LO? (try using outer power line) Is it overclocked? (go back to defaults) i.e., try lowering power consumption and improving power feed. Are any components upgraded?
SUBS17 Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Yes most computers possess a lithium battery, to change it open up the case and look for a small shiny silver disc shaped battery. (make sure pc is switched off and power cable unplugged) Remove the battery and take it to a shop and get the exact same type and replace it. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
dynamocl Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 He is using a laptop, it has nothing to do with the BIOS/CMOS battery, please don't get people ripping critical system out of the motherboard for no reasons. Check that while playing cables dont come out. I assume you have a "on mains" power light on the laptop. Does this turn off (switch to battery) as soon as you start playing? Its not just a matter if turning hibernation off (like screen saver kicking in), since the battery is being reduced (check in windows that battery is minimal and not just a reporting problem). Try this, and let us know what happens. More information required.
Kula66 Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Works fine on both my laptops ... as dynamocl said, check the mains lead is ok - not getting pulle out in all the excitement!
