Madone Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Hi, It's 2 different filters, MSAA is a sort of "global AA", TSAA is filtering through fences for examples. LcSummers Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 Great guys. Thanks for your responses. S!
EtherealN Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 To be specific: MSAA cannot work with multiple surfaces behind each other - thus the additional option for TSSAA, where the T is for "transparency". Relevant for more than stuff like windows - also affects textures that have transparent backgrounds, like ground clutter sprites and like Madone mentioned - fences. ENO Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 hmmmm... wonder if that's why at certain angles it looks like ships are floating above water as I can see the whole ship above and below the waterline. Thanks for explaining it in a bit more detail- I'll have to look closer. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
maxmax Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 It would be nice with some info like that when mouse over. Not just in DCS but in other games as well. Some have a shitload of different options, like Arma 3, and I haven't got a clue what the difference is.
Madone Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 IIRC there's something about that in the GUI manual :) Strike Posture Set CAS Center of Excellence Intel Core i5 4690k @4,6Ghz, Gigabyte GTX 970 OC, Gigabyte Z97-X, 16GB G Skill Sniper @2400, Samsung 860/850 EVO , Win 10 64 bits, Dual monitors 27"@144"Opentrack + TM Warthog + Saitek pro flight combat
