K2mil Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I'm fairly new to DCS World. Everyday I'm learning something new and become more engage with this sim and A10C module. I live in Chicago USA and right now I'm totally crazy about the warthog... here in Chicago we have the water and air show once a year... where you can see the blue angels and rest of aircrafts they even have F 22 one year... but I don't recall seeing a warthog... Do you guys know a place in the USA where general public could see such a plane up close ? thanks INTEL CORE I7 6700K ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ASUS ROG GTX1080Ti Strix OC 16GB @ 4100 MHz |CORSAIR Intel 730 SSD 240GB Corsair 850 W Modular PSU Corsair Obsidian 650d Logitech X-56 HOTAS ,Saitek X-65F HOTAS, Pro Ruder Pedals, Pro Flight Instrument Panel NP TrackIr 5 Pro Windows 10 PRO

Deadman Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 You will have better luck getting in to a museum with one on display than getting on to an Air Force Base https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Tholozor Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Robins AFB, Georgia. I went to the air show there last year and they had a Charlie Hog on display. Going to the show again this year; hope they've got another one. cichlidfan Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 (edited) Depends on the base, not all military bases are locked down. ;) I would contact their Public Affairs office. You can get a look at it on Google Earth. Just search for the AFB, the aircraft is easy to spot. Grimes Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Grissom has some aircraft on display that should be publicly accessible: http://goo.gl/maps/a26dt One of them is an old A-10A.
