It would be nice to actually use my rudder pedals to stop aircraft in FC3.

What brake pedals do you have?

Some come whit software that allows you to simulate key presses.

So you can still use them to stop the plane even if the game doesn't have an axis assigned for it.

(you can't regulate the brake pressure though, will either be all or nothing)

Its a nice idea but it still having two problems.

First, i'm sure he ask it for aving an axis and have precision with the brake, not just for using his feet.

And 2, using a software for setting a key for toe brake axis its nice, until we have FC3 and A10C or more important even, P51D (that can't be operate correctly without brake axis)

Its like airbrake, at least having key for open and close it how we want, but axis its really missing.

Anyways i have already talk about it here :

Somewhere around here is a post, possibly from Wags IIRC, saying exactly that.

It would be an improvement if we could map the brakes to the axis and it simply responded as brakes on or off, even if it wasn't variable braking force.

If you use key emulation software it can sometimes conflict with the keyboard when in critical phases of flight. I don't think everyone has fully replicated cockpits and sometimes you need the keyboard. Also, there is no middle software trying to emulate input into the system which does not translate correctly over such as mapping an axis area to alt+w.
