Dave317 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 It was already mapped to one of my throttle axis but I don't know what it does apart from reducing engine speed. Also how do you move the m60 door guns? I can switch to the gunners position and fire but the guns won't move.
SimFreak Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 corrector = throttle of sorts. You set rpm in the green using it.
Dave317 Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 Does it have one on the real thing? I thought the throttle was the twist grip on the collective.
SimFreak Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Does it have one on the real thing? I thought the throttle was the twist grip on the collective. That's exactly it. So say folks that flew it.
luckybob9 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I can switch to the gunners position and fire but the guns won't move. Im not sure offhand, but look in the Axis section of the controls. Mine is set to my trackir by default, but I do not have the public version yet and never had the time to change it. My guess is that in the Axis section, there is a setting for the guns, and you can set it to something like the mouse. Ham Sandwich Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) Does it have one on the real thing? I thought the throttle was the twist grip on the collective. That's what it does in game. Actuate whatever axis you have "corrector" bound to, and watch the throttle on the collective. It twists. Edited May 1, 2013 by Ham Sandwich

Also how do you move the m60 door guns? I can switch to the gunners position and fire but the guns won't move. You need to set the weapon to armed for to move them. Works fine with track ir as well, but you can also use your mouse for aiming and firing. ;) Monitor: ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQL1A| Case: Thermaltake Overseer RX-I | PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2 80+ GOLD, 1300W| Mobo: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master | CPU: Intel Core i9 9900KS @5 GHz | CPU-Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 Tower Cooler | RAM: 32GB G.Skill F4-4133C17-8GTZR | GPU:NVIDIA GeForce RTX4090 OC 24GB |SSD: Samsung SSD 860 M.2 1TB | Keyboard: Logitech G110 | Mouse: Logitech G502 | Gaming Devices: Hotas WW Orion 2 Stick&Throttle, Thrustmaster MFD, Pimax Crystal, Stream Deck XL [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mattgn Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 If I remember correctly, the throttle on the collective would have been used constantly on the old piston engine helis, whereas nowadays with turbine/turboshaft engine A/C it's set to 100% after startup and generally left alone (unless you're operating the throttle/rpm manually)
Robin_Hood Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 That's what it does in game. Actuate whatever axis you have "corrector" bound to, and watch the throttle on the collective. It twists. So in the options, it is called "throttle" in Keys and "corrector" in Axis. Well, good to know (too bad I don't really have an axis that would work for that) 2nd French Fighter Squadron
HiJack Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Corrector is the twist handle on the cyclic, it is supposed to be bound to a rotor button on your joystick but id dont work properly. Only gives half the needed power. I have tried to adjust axes but with no luck so Page-Up and Page-Down keys are the best choice for now. The corrector does the same thing as Page-Up and Page-Down does.
Robin_Hood Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Actually, the throttle is less important than I figured it would be. From reading Chickenhawk, I was under the impression that the RPM setting was entirely manual, requiring constant adjustments (to every change in collective or rudder). But the GOV seems to take care of it in our bird (maybe it is an improvement upon the version of the helo used in the book ?). 2nd French Fighter Squadron
