So I noticed looking at the control indicator that during flights the cyclic is all bouncy and jerky when I move it. So I thought it might be my setup, so I set some deadzones/curves on the joystick. But still showed up.

So I decided to test it a bit further. When the helicopter is off the cyclic moves very smoothly and there is no bouncy movements. But once the engine is turned on and I make small cyclic movements it starts being bouncy and jerky.

So is this the way the Huey works, or is it an issue?

1) What's your HOTAS?

2) Is that happening just for Huey?

Right now I'm using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick on my heli machine. I also used this as well:

RealFlight-G4-Controller.jpg

My helicopter computer is the one I usually create missions on and test them. On my pit I have a Saitek 65X pro. Eventually I'll be flying using that.

I did see the jerkiness on both the controllers on the heli computer. I haven't tested it on any other aircraft since I only have CA and Huey installed on the Heli machine.

EDIT:

Check out the first 20 seconds of this movie and you'll see it. It's a left-right jerkiness that's really quick. I was trying to hold the stick in one position and it jumps like this:

Found another video (not mine) that you can see it with the rudders (check around 30 seconds in):

Just looked at some of my recorded flights, and despite them mostly ending in tears the cyclic is smooth, displaying only the inputs I am making.

Have you checked your controllers (cyclic axes) in the axis tune? If its bouncing around their that's a dirty pot issue perhaps?

Will check later tonight. But I know the rudder had a little bounce it so I set the deadzone for it.

But the oddity is that before starting up the heli the controls move smooth with no jerkiness. This only happens after the heli is started, so though it might be an issue.

Enjoying the weather with the kids, but will test tonight or tomorrow and upload video.

Having similar probs with saitek52pro, works stable in KA50 and Su plane. Also works with FSX Dodo.

Can't find a hover point runs away with me.

Anyone with settings for pro - have googled everywhere - maybe my flying?

I just had the same problem with the twitchy rudder on my x52 Pro. On the default control setups, the twist stick was competing with the rudder pedals even though I have it locked. Once I cleared the axis control on the stick setup, the rudder pedals worked fine.
