Should we keep the autopilot and weapons hint display?

Aids like this are helpful for new pilots. The Huey isn't technically as advanced as the Shark for instance but the FM is a beast and I think having a few helpful hints on screen will be helpful. If you don't like it, just turn it off?

Keep it as an option. No harm in that. It is useful when you first start out. As long as you can turn it off then its good.

I would say that symbols representing status would be better than text. Keep it as an option nevertheless.

I'd rather it only displayed while the key was held - a 'glance' thing....

 

I like that idea. :thumbup: Personally, I always turn it off at beginning of mission.

I realize this is an old thread, but I recently took up the Huey again for kicks, I use Helios and realized I can no longer bring up the Autopilot status? The original path in the directory for the MOD was:

 

"Mods\aircraft\Uh-1H\Cockpit\Scripts\Hints"

 

The "Hints" subfolder no longer exists? Per this thread, it seems as though it would have stayed in but I do not see any "Hints_page.lua "files anywhere in Open Beta? Please advise, thank you.

Thanks for the heads up, I thought I did the right thing by searching for days 1st before asking the question. I only found 2 threads that were old that were relative to my question, this was one of them. I did not want to be rude and start a whole new thread relative to this topic. There should have been a post made in here that this was changed since the question was asked if people wanted it or not, that might have helped guide me to the place I am looking for.
