Hobo Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 (edited) Did you make the ICP/UFC? If not where did you get them and cost? What's the breakdown on components, parts, costs, etc? I'm only asking because some of the guys I fly with and I are interested in that setup. Edited May 6, 2013 by Hobo
Milli Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I like it What are the two MFD screens made up of Dimebug? Would also be interested in how you made the A-10C UFC and its components. Regards, Milli
dimebug Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 (edited) the screens are Lilliput 8" (UM80/C) the UFC and ICP are home made. UFC is much simple than the ICP to build, it use a leo Bodnard USB card, it works as a DirectX button box. I will probably upgrade it for a Pockey or homemade stuff based on Arduino to also control few LED stuff like indexers ect... Those are made of PMMA (plexiglass), cut and engraved with a laser cutter. Each unit use approximatively 100 parts (electronic not included). It could be simplified but may be more fragile. For the cost, it's a little bit complicated to calculate. For the ICP it's something around 120€ but it takes a lot of time to machine and build (i didn't chose the easy way). The one you can see on the pictures is a rought one. The last i've made is much nicer. I also have the Wheels to add on it. I will probably build a CDU later this month. yet, the front panel is a rought one, i will rebuild a new one to integrate more stuff and give him a better look later. Edited May 7, 2013 by dimebug
Hansolo Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Very nice and versatile setup  I would also thank you very much for the plans you have done on the A-10C cockpit. I hadn't realized until resently that you were the architect for them until reading the manual for A-10C Console Centrale. Great work.
