Skeeter Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 1st. Can anyone tell me the specs of the cyclic in the Huey. Looking for total tube length, how far to the start of the bends, and their angles stuff like that. 2nd. How about the distance of travel from center at the top of the grip in all directions. Thanks “Shiny Switch Method” :thumbup:1. You only need to flip the switches that are shiny. Someone before you figured out those make the aircraft work no need to second guess it. :(2. Never fly an aircraft with a shiny ejection handle.
Wiscodin Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Huey cyclic The height of the cyclic from base to top of the grip is 32 inches. The curvature or bend in the shaft tube is approx 75-80 degrees. This puts the grip just about over the center of the base for balance. The rest of balance is maintained thru cyclic friction and springs in the base which help return the cyclic to the center and reducing pilot effort. All else is via trim control. I've designed a cyclic, using the TM warthog stick, that's quite accurate to the UH-1 cyclic control.
Wiscodin Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Huey cyclic If you email me directly I'll tell you what I used and how I assembled it all. Machmeter1@gmail.com I must warn you though...the modifications I made will null the warrantee on the TM HOTAS Flightstick. But if you really want a realistic cyclic it's worth it.
rcmodels Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Is your mod easily changed back to default Warthog set up?
Razor5-1 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Is that the Thrustmaster TOPGUN Cyclic grip? I was thinking of getting a second hand one and sticking it to a MS FFB2
Razor5-1 Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Uh Nice! Wish I lived in America and could pick up this kind of kit! :joystick:
