amalahama Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Later than sooner, if ever, I'm afraid :(. Ka-50 and A-10C are no longer generating the same revenues as other modules and I guess their development cycle are coming to an end. Regards!
SmokeyTheLung Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 In the real A-10 it: "Selects the altitude source to be used for CCIP/CCRP TDC generation, INS HUD and overhead updates, offset, and overhead marks elevation computations." Choices for altitude source are: barometric, delta or radar System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
Kearf Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 (edited) Maybe the Dev Team forgot about it, or they think it isn't important for a simulated A-10C or they just dont want to "spend more time"(=money) on something, which isn't lucrative to do. But maybe.... ED really want's to make a simulation which gets improved until a fully functional digital modern combat aircraft simulation(Digital Combat Simulation?) is developed and implement it, like the missing TISL, IFF or the KY-58 systems. Money makes the world go round and the military is paranoid by nature and maybe thinks that when we know how their "old" A10C works in detail,(like this missing ALT SCE feature) the strengths of this aircraft are diminished and so ED isn't "allowed" to implement this missing features. added : I also don't think that most people who use this software (most people = most money) are interested in this depth of fidelity. Edited May 17, 2013 by Kearf missed something Wer sich nicht bewegt, spürt seine Fesseln nicht. If you don't move, you won't feel your bonds.
SUBS17 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 You need ALT SCE for CCIP so it is quite important. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
