JetlinerX Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I didnt see a dedicated video thread for A10C, so if I am missing it, I apologize, and feel free to move this topic if you must. That out of the way, here was my first crash landing EVER in the sim. This is where my real world private pilot's certificate comes in a little handy! :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3paq3D9iWQ&feature=youtu.be Take a look at our in-depth DCS A10C tutorials If you want to participate in these tutorial sessions, please send me a PM and I can get you setup! :) TUTORIALS TO RETURN "VERY SOON"

Yurgon Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 That out of the way, here was my first crash landing EVER in the sim. This is where my real world private pilot's certificate comes in a little handy! :) Well I'd say the TGP will need to be replaced. And the right wing. Right engine, obviously. And the horizontal stabilizer would need inspection. Part of the fuselage, too. A major overhaul might be worth an idea. But other than that, nice crash landing. :D Kidding aside, that was a pretty decent landing under these circumstances, good job. My learning curve went the other way around. I started by learning how to crash the aircraft before I progressed to proper landings. Possibly not exactly the way the USAF likes to handle it, but it does come in handy in such cases of emergency. :music_whistling:
JetlinerX Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 (edited) Hehe! It was close, I was about 100 feet from going around, or at least trying. @Hammond - the others would not come down, and the left rear wouldn't go up.
