Huey skin template

Proud new owner of the Huey..(Thanks O_Dingo)

 

Wanting to make up some RNZAF skins for her but can not find the template for down load ?

 

Can someone please point me in the right direction.

Ok I have done a skin in the RNZAF color schemes but I am getting the Happy yellow missing texture skin, and for the life of me I can not see where I am going wrong?

 

Can someone maybe have a look over what I have done ( I think its in the lua flie myself) but a second pair of eyes might pick up on what I am missing.:doh:

In your .lua filetry seting the references to the bmp files youv'e made to "false".

 

I think "false" means look in current directory, or something like that, otherwise it looks in the default skin directory.

I knew it had to be something with that darn lua file…lol

Sometimes it does help to have a second pair of eyes look over things for you and it was pretty late at night when I was doing it as well.

I think it looks really good! One minor niggle though...the starboard roundel, the Kiwi needs to face forward and the 3 Sqn crest is around the wrong way too :) Otherwise it is sweeeeet :D

I am also gonna do the up to date grey skin as well, and I will put them into a skin pack.

The Maori in 3 Sqd is facing forwards on the door as in the pics you put up and same as the Kiwi in the roundel.. LOL maybe I am going cazy..

But will I will check it out and fix as there is some touch ups that I want to do anyway

No mate I've just checked, the Kiwi is facing backwards on the right (starboard) side and the crest, the Warrior needs to face to the left (rear) of the AC. Like this:

I think he is just talking about the red kiwi in the roundel on your green skin. It should always face forwards (on both sides). Kiwis dont like flying backwards :)

 

Looking great tho bud, although I think the grey could do with being a little darker.
