It's Voice Activated Command (VAC) and is great to use in DCS World simulator. You find it here on the "dwvac.com" webpage

Only problem is that you need a Windows Version on original English (or Spanish,Chinese), or the Speech recognition won't work.

But I learned I could use a program called Vistalizator to change Language to English, and activate Speech recognition, and install VAC. After you get it to work, you can use Vistalizator to change back to original Language. I Guess it will work fine unless Windows changes something in Speech Recognition, but then you use Vistalizator again, and reinstall.

Yeah, it's good, I use it all the time. It's especially good for SP for all radio commands. You can use it for anything else though. There are a coule of profiles tou can use that are on this forum somewhere that are excellent and can easily be modified to suit your own requirements. It cost me £18 a year or so ago so not sure if it's changed price since

Is there any good tutorials on how to set this up, I thought it would be a breeze but it doesn't look like it is. I know someone mentioned some good profiles on here, but I have my Saitekx52 set up perfect now and don't want to change anything I don't want to. Do you set up a button to press for speech? I just need a good tutorial on how to set this up and use it.

I have also noticed there are 2 versions one for windows XP and the other for win & 64. I'm just wondering why the Windows 7 64 bit version says it doesn't come with Microsoft Speech yet the XP one does? Do I have to get a separate speech program for Windows 7? Thanks!!

I have windows 7 home premium and it comes with speech recognition. It's fairly easy to set up and you can set it to press a button/ key to activate or voice activate a command. The VAC Builder is quite straight forward and intuitive

I read what everyone has said but for some reason I cannot get this to work. I downloaded and installed the fish profile but when I press LCTRL = O in game and say anything like Air traffic controls etc... Nothing works. I tested it in the builder and it works so what am I doing wrong?

Try using voice activated rather than a key press to activate. As long as the correct commands are there in the settings then it should work

I don't see a voice activated command, all I see is Default, Toggle and Arm. Which one of those using voice activation?

not to jack HiJack's reply, but Fish has a pretty good tutorial video on how to setup VAC for DCS A-10C. He even has a profile for all commands, including some cockpit commands. Be mindful that VAC does not support joystick button push to talk and only keyboards, meaning that to toggle VAC to hear and not hear, you have to use the keyboard. I use spacebar since my HOTAS is CH, although I could map a keyboard key to CH using CMC, I really haven't got the time, or the brains...

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Actually that's not quite true Wildbill, Cubpilot discussed a while back this thread to make a Warthog throttle switch compatible with VAC (I've never really managed to get it to work though!). If you've got the patience to do something like that it'd be worth it - you have a HOTAS Dudester?

Your hands will be faster.

EDIT: Especially, since your goal is a specific air speed, not a specific speed brake setting.

I use joystick button for vac:-in vac there is push to talk... default...Toggle..and AM.. I use AM this means to use it I have vac on all the time ,for example in game you select radio menu then you press your joystick button, and speak your command, you need to press this button each time you give a command , it will reset itself after each command. The joystick button is programmed to the corresponding key press you assign in the vac profile.

That maybe so, but I have a problem with speedbrakes set on the Saitek x52 and I cannot put it anywhere else. I lost my controls settings using the slider at times and it has been mentioned that this is a bug. The next best thing I could think of was to use speech instead.

How come you don't just have voice activation on? That way you don't have to press a button at all in order to say your commands.

I found voice activated is a pain if people are talking to you or around you.Worked well on my own though.

Hi

I purchased VAC a few days ago and I am having problems finding my profile folder. I want to back up a profile I made, but I cannot find the profile folder in the path it says is the default one. This is "C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\VAC". I don't see a folder named VAC in the roaming folder and I didn't change anything at install so it should be there. Can you tell me where else this folder could be? Thankyou!!

On Window 7 was changed to: c:\users\<user>\Documents\Vac
