Linx Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Hello. Can anybody explain me how to get ships to fire missiles at ground targets? I tried the attack point, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Jona33 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 The "attack point" on ship has useless wait a future "sea" update Will they use guns with attack point, the other day I modified the Huey target practice to have a ticonderoga for landing practice just offshore, the ship then shot at the moving convoy with it's rear deck gun (the ship was facing directly away, hence the reason only the rear gun was used I assume). Since it opens fire of it's own accord on moving vehicles maybe attack point will now work. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Grimes Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Fire at point works with ships. I believe if the target is in range of deck guns they will use those, but if its beyond that range a cruise missile would be used if available. Hopefully sooner rather than later more advanced control would be given to specify which weapons to use. In terms of automatic behavior, I don't know if ships will launch cruise missiles at anything they detect like they used to, but they will use deck guns as needed. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
