So. Im trying to edit a mission, DCS battlefield, but having some problems and questions.

The settings isnt saved from the mission editor. I noticed it when i got alot of traffic. Same with the "Scenes" settings.

Ok, so I edited the mission. Saved it. Loaded it on the server (another computer). In the mission i have set civTraffic to OFF but the server still runs civTraffic HIGH

I know that this is because of multiple "inputs":

Editing computer: civTraffic HIGH, but set to force OFF in mission editor.

Server computer: civTraffic OFF

When i start to investigate i found the "option" file inside the mission file.

Its seems like all my settings are saved inside this file. Why? Even the multimonitor settings.

Have i done something wrong? To me it seems like the mission editor settings is overwritten by client settings.

Has it something to do with "Use these optons for all missions"?

THE! DCS Battlefield? The old one from Panzertard?

Anyway, no idea why these options are saved in the mission file, but they are.

And about your issue, yes i do think it has to do whit the "use these options for all missions" seting.

Its all related to each other in a fairly complicated way though.

Thanks for the answer.

I think i know why the Scenes are at low for all..

If the server got Scenes "low", everybody will have scenes "low". It doesnt matter that it isnt forced in the editor.

EDIT: Or not. It has to do with the setting you got when you SAVE the mission i think. Testing.

Yeah it uses whatever setting was last used to save the mission and not the setting forced in the mission settings. Its a bug and has been reported for a while now, still not fixed though. :(

IF you convert the mission file into a zip and delete everything but the mission file- then return it to a .miz you might be able to get your settings in there. Older missions have a bunch of additional folders embedded so if you go in there and rip out everything but the mission file (and the obviously unrelated custom sounds etc) that should work.
