At some point in the past, possibly it was BS1 I know I remember being able to see the rotor blade shadows on the nose of the aircraft while sitting in the cockpit.

I am not seeing them with the most current version of BS2, complex shadows are on, is there something I missed or was the effect removed at some point?

You're right. We can't see shadows from cockpit.

But, there's also something odd from outside view. Blade shadows seem very short on the aircraft. May be they thought higher speed of blade. But as you say, we should see all balde's shadow in anyway.

I really liked seeing the blade shadow on the nose as seen from the cockpit, it gave a nice effect. Maybe it was annoying to some and it was removed?

Maybe they just adjusted the size and shape of shadows to correspond better whit the angle of the sun vs the angle of the helicopter?

BTW, when i was aboard some flights in various helicopters, i have never noticed shadows from the blades on its own airframe whit the rotor turning.

Though, that may also be cause the weather over here sucks and its always cloudy.:D
