schkorpio Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I'd love to be able to go into settings/options to be able quickly change a few things without having to exit. (especially in multiplayer, or when you've just spent 10 minutes start up a plane and you realise you forgot to map a button). I can understand if some of the graphics settings aren't possible to change, but if at least the controls could be changed and checked in game it would make things much easier :) Thx! Nate--IRL-- Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 This is a long term goal for DCS. It is on the ED wishlist. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
TimeKilla Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 (edited) +1 Would be compare different settings while tweaking for more frames, If you hit a server that's got areas where you get frame hits. This is a long term goal for DCS. It is on the ED wishlist. Harrysound Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 This feature alone has to be one of the most important additions to DCS World if it were to ever become true. I'm sure a lot of people understand the amount of time it takes to set up a controller map. The amount of times you've left a training mission to reconfigure your keys to further the tutorial. This , I know, is one of the major major problems new people have when coming into dcs World. I vote this should be of the highest importance.

cichlidfan Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 The first thing it requires, and ED is taking the step, is abandoning 32 bit support. That is part of the reason that you can't do it now. Nate--IRL-- Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 To Flesh out what cichlidfan is saying, this feature requires the reintegration of the Mission editor portion of DCS into the simulation engine, this is why it is a long term goal. It is a big job, and will not work within the limitations of 32bit. This is not the only reason for dropping 32bit though. klem Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Excuse me adding to this very old thread but will it also be possible to adjust the Settings (Graphics) on the fly instead of unloading, changing and re-loading test missions? klem 56 RAF 'Firebirds' ASUS ROG Strix Z390-F mobo, i7 8086A @ 5.0 GHz with Corsair H115i watercooling, Gigabyte 2080Ti GAMING OC 11Gb GPU , 32Gb DDR4 RAM, 500Gb and 256Gb SSD SATA III 6Gb/s + 2TB , Pimax 8k Plus VR, TM Warthog Throttle, TM F18 Grip on Virpil WarBRD base, Windows 10 Home 64bit
