How to stop the SMOKE ON UNIT in DCS World's ME ?

Hi All,

I's not a Bug so I post it directly here...

 

How can I stop a SMOKE ON UNIT action with triggers in the excellent ME ?

I can easily define CONDITIONS to active it, but once it's on I can't deactivate this SMOKE (even after unit death).

It's a smoke marker, a smoke grenade. It only stops when it burns out, afaik. (after 5 mins or so?)

Bump old thread rather than staring a new one. Is there a way to remove the marker early? I'm simulating a Vitetnam style smoke marker on unit to be picked up mission, and those old cans only lasted 90 sec.

Nope, they last exactly 5 minutes. There is no way to stop it. Although it makes sense if there was a timer on it. I can create a feature request for it, but no promises it would get added anytime soon.

I suppose this feature hasn't reached priority status yet.

 

It would be nice to have a good visual method to have clients see a zones' capture status within the ME and not require community scripting tools.

 

Does anyone know of said method?
