1.2.6 problems...

Hey guys, first post here, anyone dropping frames in the A10c after the patch?

Losing around 15fps in action (locked it at 45 for smooth track ir), doesn't seem to be visuals related, more CPU.

Just don't know if its worth a full reinstall or its just something in the patch.

Also load times are longer but still ok and have had crashes from generated missions back to the front end.

Yep I got smacked with low FPS I am reinstalling.

It looks like a few people are having problems.

Does the re-install help?

I really really really can not be bothered to try it to be honest.

Can't say I've noticed any change in FPS since the patch. I've flown a couple of missions that I have on my SSD's and haven't noticed any reductions.

My FPS is the same as it was in 1.2.5, I know because I was performance tuning just prior to when the update was released.

I uninstalled World, I also removed the old World folder (Just in case) It had Mod and acft folders left after the uninstall.

Rebooted...

I installed World with DirectX and other stuff just like it was a first install.

I did not change any of the old joystick config files I left all that alone.

I ran the 25T with nothing but world installed and my FPS is in the 80 to 90 range.

Then I installed the MI-8 and it is running in the 50 to 60 fps range.

Try the repair first then the reinstall if needed it worked for me.

All the Keycodes are still in the registry so it is very easy to reinstall after you get the files togather:thumbup::D:D:D

I was having similar issues after the last 1.2.5 upgrade and a complete clean out and re-install fixed all my FPS issues just like Tusler has posted.

 

It's worth doing if they're bad. I had a consistent 17-20 FPS before and went to a consistent mid 40's after

Had a lot of issues getting smooth frames with dcs a10c, finally over locked mt 3930k to 4.5 ghz, and had frames around 90-120 in flight, minimum 45 facing the action.

Just spent two weeks learning to fly the aircraft and use the weapons systems, bought the hotas a10 stick and throttles which I received the same day 1.2.6 was released.

Game updated, now frames are min 29 facing the action, no real change in normal flight.

29 just isn't smooth enough for track Ir, very stuttery. (Runs Smooth ROF, IL2 cliffs)

Did a clean install (deleting all dcs world files from PF and Users), still no change.

Updated directx and installed latest vid drivers also.

Very disappointed here.

Just noticed that some of my missions have stutters in v1.2.6 as well. Haven't played them in a while now, but am pretty certain they ran without hiccups in v1.2.5. Arrrgh...:helpsmilie:

No one is spamming in that thread, in fact DArt is a highly valued member of our community that produces quality add ons for the sim that are used across the board.... I for one love his ATC programme and really enjoyed using it before in the past and intent to do so again.

Ahhh... that makes more sense! I was a bit perplexed by this.
