I get seem to produce any wingtip vapor with the Su-25. Is this intentional? I'm guessing that the speedbrake "pods" aerodynamically don't produce trails IRL.

It make sense. The vapor is a result of lift, so if you have wings you should expect them when the load on the wings is high. There are wingtip devices that can weaken the tip vortex, but you'll never get rid of it.

EDIT

Actually now I'm not sure what you're asking.

Are you seeing or not seeing vapor?

The Su-25 should be able to produce them, but you'll need to load the wings enough to be able to see them.

I'm NOT seeing them. Maybe it's a weather thing? I tried some quick missions in various weather but still nothing. Also I'm starting the mission with a full loadout so maybe I'm just not whipping the plane around enough. I did pull hard enough to have my pilot panting though!

Ok so it's just me! I'll keep pulling harder! Very weird though, I loaded up the A-10C and had no problems with wingtip vapor. I'm not living up to my name! LOL

Kind of.

If you want to talk to anyone about anything personal, send it to their PM box. Interpersonal drama and ad hominem rebuttal are things that do not belong on a thread viewed by the public.

One thing i have to point out... naming a thread.. "OK, so" is as useful as tits on a bull.

Try pulling harder, notice my G count.

I notice you have left your fuel caps open after refuelling ... :megalol:

Ok see everyone I'm NOT crazy!

I still have yet to see wingtip contrails either. I've only been messing around in one mission though mostly (big mission I'm building) so maybe it's a weather thing. I still haven't heard if this effect is dependent on weather, no one seems to know.

Where are my Swirly bits ?

One thing I did notice with the new vapour trails is, as per the pics above they should be nice and long and look “swirly” at the end just like you would get on a real aircraft caused by the vortex that’s produced behind it.

But actually (on the A10C at least) they are about this long ---------------------------------------------------

and you don’t get the fancy swirly bit at the end. Also engine smoke?? where did that go, or is it coming at a later date ? Vid

It seems to be quite hard to produce the vapor trails on the 25. I have seen them though.

Does anyone know if only your (Client) plane creates these new vapors? I set up a AI furball with the new Su27 and some F18s, f15s etc and I didn't see any of them produce the vapor.

I also wonder about the new smoke effect, I have not seen that at all yet.
