RagnarDa Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 (edited) So these are everywhere on this forum, and I kinda don't like them. BUT I do see that there might a point in letting ED know what mission designers/scripters want to have implemented into the editor and scripting environment. So here goes mine: 1. Add mission score to players via script. 2. Automatically re-load scripts in mission editor so you don't have to delete the trigger and re-add it again. There are a fair amount of (unnecessary) clicking if you develop a script that just involves reloading the script into the mission. I don't think this is a feature that would involve too much development time on ED's side. 3. Merge-feature for Mission Editor a la ARMA-editor. Makes the designing of large and complex missions, especially campaigns, a lot faster. This is probably a quite big request, but I nevertheless wanted to put it out there. Thanks for a great system and good work! Edited September 10, 2013 by RagnarDa Oops! Got the name of SSE wrong... DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. St3v3f Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Well regarding point 2, I use my scripts by pasting them into the Do Script textbox. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V is a lot quicker than selecting the file again. Not perfect but not a massive inconvenience either aka: Baron [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
chromium Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 3 is really interesting. You could also think to split design role in multiple files and (maybe) people. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.
gregzagk Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) Many of us would like to have a ''SAVE'' feature that saves the current mission status . This way you could resume a big mission from a checkpoint or resume the mission after a Server crash etc. And of course edit the mission if a trigger won't work and start again from that point.
