BiBa Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) When I press "M" for "Aiming Reticle", only the Co-Pilot "Aiming Reticle" is activated / goes down, but not the Pilot's "Aiming Reticle". Also the Co-Pilot "Aiming Reticle" remains rigid and doesn't comply anymore to mouse or TrackIR movement. Need fix. This happened after the 1.2.6 latest update. Lizzard Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Changes in this patch include keyboard and joystick input profile updates. Unfortunately this means you have to delete (or save as a backup if you wish to keep them for a possible revert to an older version) the user keyboard and joystick folders found on your Windows drive directory \\users\User Name\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\UH-1H\. Doing so will require you to remap your controls after re-launching the game. In case you didn't realize this, it could be an operation you may have to do in the future again as we continue to update the input settings of the module. My Specs: I don`t care..it is a Computer..a black one..
BiBa Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 ...you have to delete the user keyboard and joystick folders found on your Windows drive directory. Doing so will require you to remap your controls after re-launching the game... If I understood you right, deleting this means remapping over 1000 Keyboard-Commands! In this case it's better to remap my Joystick profile adequately to the DCS updated Keyboard Command. But again, here it's not an issue of mapping commands; the problem is that the "Aiming Reticle" of Pilot and Co-Pilot are acting separately from each other. The Co-Pilot "Aiming Reticle" is activated / descending but the Pilot "Aiming Reticle" remains still. Above that, it seems now that in it, the TrackIR option has been erased, as it's grey, and it's not possible anymore to assign the "Aiming Reticle" commands for the TrackIR. If that's the case, then it's a stupid decision. It looks like now that the "Aiming Reticle" is only operable by Key-Commands (or Mouse?!) Even after pressing "M", when I activate the Pilot "Aiming Reticle" manually by pressing its 3D lever and it goes down, there is no dot-light in it, whereas the Co-Pilot "Aiming Reticle" is illuminated. So it's clearly a Bug. BiBa...............BigBang WIN 10-64 Pro. MoBo: ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING. 1TB Samsung SSD 960 PRO M.2 + 4TB SSD LEXAR 790. CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K. GPU: MANLI RTX 2080 Ti. RetroBurn Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Do a little search on the forums and you will see that the pilot's sight works. They are independent systems. Win 7 HE / GigaByte Z68AP-D3 / i5-2500K 3.30 GHz / 16Gb RAM / GTX 570 2.5GB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
lorenzoj Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I believe the new pilot up/down is Shift+M. And the two pilots are independent. And you can mouse activate the on/off and the reticle brightness from the front even though you can't actually "see" them. Also deleting your keyboard.lua will not lose all the existing assignments but will allow the new command slots to be generated by the system. You should only have to re-assign a few keys

Lizzard Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 it is really not that complicated..with 1.2.6 some Changes in the Controls of the Huey are invented..so please..just delete the Files..and all is o.k. You don`t have to remap 10000 Commands..the inputs you have to remap..are just your own, and on the HUey that may be 20 or so.. as said before the Pilots Rectile and the Copilots Rectile are 2 different Systems in 1.2.6 My Specs: I don`t care..it is a Computer..a black one..

Both Pilot & Co-Pilot arms are functioning now. Still, the light of the Pilot's Reticle remains off! To spare you the search, attached are the Reticle Key-Commands of both Pilot and Co-Pilot. Co-Pilot Commands are 6, while the Pilot Commands are only 3. The 2 important Pilot Commands for Lamp On/Off are missing, and using the Co-Pilot Commands doesn't affect them. So what are those two 2 Pilot Commands for Reticle Lamp On/Off? BiBa...............BigBang WIN 10-64 Pro. MoBo: ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING. 1TB Samsung SSD 960 PRO M.2 + 4TB SSD LEXAR 790. lorenzoj Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Sit in the copilots seat and look over at the pilots site when it is down. You can easily see the two hidden switches. Actually you can operate them with the mouse from here. But once you know where they are it is easy to hit the hot spots from the front of the sight. Once the switches are on they will stay that way as you subsequently raise and lower the sight
Blindeye_03 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 This is one title that really needs the trackir. I can't imagine not having it. I found the lighting switch on the backside of the reticle for the pilot. Had to look around the thing to find it.
SUBS17 Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Awesome detail on the Flexible sight I like the bubble level. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
