S77th-GOYA Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Anybody else noticing that AA doesn't seem as strong as it used to be? I use 1600x1200 w/4x AA and I'm seeing jaggies now.
Mustang Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 yeah, but it's the jaggies in the full shadows that is most disturbing, because it is such a cool feature, the shadows will look jagged, its the way the shadowmap is implemented (i don't know the exact technical reason, maybe something to do with it being handled by the backbuffer?) and no level of anti-aliasing will get rid of it Anybody else noticing that AA doesn't seem as strong as it used to be? I use 1600x1200 w/4x AA and I'm seeing jaggies now. well i continue to use 1280x960 4xAA and 8xAF and i don't see any noticeable aliasing, check those screenshots i posted earlier :)
S77th-GOYA Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 well i continue to use 1280x960 4xAA and 8xAF and i don't see any noticeable aliasing, check those screenshots i posted earlier :) I just rechecked the CCC and "application controlled" somehow got switched back. I reset my AA and AF and it looks better now.
