When i start the freeflight from Sukhumi mission my Mi-8 for some reason starts lifting of all by itself. My throttle is at idle and i do not touch the controls. To alleviate this I increase the throttle a bit and then pull it back down - the chopper falls back on the strip and stays there.

Could it be that I have something wrong with my controls or is that a common bug?

iFoxRomeo That helped, but now if i fly a mission with the chopper in the air - it falls to the ground without the collective being set on start. Guess I'll have to check that HOTAS depending on the type of mission I fly...

I'm not the biggest fan of missions that start in air but I have noticed that it seems to help initial stability to exit and restart almost immediately.

Got in the habit of placing collective about half power to begin then immediately lowering and then pulling back up after mission starts. Would still rather start on ground at idle.
