My first build in a while. (My last build was a PIII 700Mhz) I don't have a computer for DCS currently so I'm building one up just for my sim. I want to build a pit so this is the first step.

PC specs:

Corsair Obsidian 900D case

Asus Maximus VI ROG motherboard

i7-4770-K 3.5 Haswell Quad Core

Corsair 1200W PS

840 EVO 1TB SSD

G.SKILL 32GB 2400 RAM

Dual GTX Titans SLi

all watercooled

Monitors, undecided. I want three large screens but haven't decided how large yet.

I agree, way more than needed. I am going to water cool everything so I don't want to have to redo things by adding a second card later or two more RAM sticks later. I plan on doing a full pit so I need to run the MFCD's and the CDU as well so I want to have enough headroom on the graphics side to push the FPS to everything.

I guess the computer build is just like the pit build really...you want it to look nice and perform well, and half of the fun is just creating it, so that's part of the reason for the super computer build.

Ryan, just spend what you want as your specs are good for everything : )

My rig does DCS perfectly. Use to have 3 x 23" LED's but now just use 1 large 55" TV and a smaller TV for Helios and it runs well on my specs.

I did just upgrade my RAM to 32GB but I don't know if it really makes any difference on my current games (BF4 soon though).

Save some money for later unless you have heaps. If you do have heaps, can you send me a 1TB SSD as well please :P

If you do build that rig, post some pics...

Thanks X93355,

I will be posting pics of the computer going together on this thread starting tomorrow. That's when the case, motherboard, processor, power supply and DVD-ROM arrive. The rest of the parts will arrive later. Look for a pit build after the computer as well.

I'm still narrowing it down. It will be based off the D5 series pump. I'm thinking of giving hard acrylic tubing a try. I'll know more in the next couple of weeks.
