Free look mode/ clickable cockpit

Hi! Another question from me... Ist there a possibility to bind it to right mouse button? Its LALT+C and i cant bind it to any mouse button. Any ideas? Thanx

In order to get that I guess you have to tweak the input File for the Mouse

 

..../saved Games/DCS/Config/input/KA-50/mouse/Mouse.lua

 

but I am no coder..so maybe I am completly wrong:)

Well... later I'll give it a try. I can't get why did they forbid to change this in controls.

In this game almost every keyboard key or mouse button is already taken. I would like to use it different way. Point is you can't bind anything to mouse in controls. It's like... turned off

I asked the same question a few months ago. The answer was that it's impossible to bind that particular command to anything on your mouse.

I usw a tool two map LALT+C to my 5th mouse button! Its running all the time in windows, so I don't have to care about it

You do not need any scripts, software nor anything else for using your mouse buttons ingame for pushing any buttons you want. DCS can do that itself without problem.

 

Here is how you do that:

 

1. Go to Options -> Control

 

2. Find the colum "Mouse". It will be grayed out and you won't be able to assing anything.

 

3. Click the colum "Mouse" and hit "Clear Category" (Or however it is called in the English version. It is the button on the top, right next to that "Category Selector".

 

4. Now the colum "Mouse" won't be grayed out anymore. You can now go and add all your mouse keys to diffrent things.

John, I did that and it works only one way... You can change from free look to clickable cockpit, but it wont change again to free look.

In the clickable cockpit, right-click turns off switches and turns dials in the direction opposite left-click, and I don't think that's a mappable function, so you're probably running into a hard-coded limitation.
