trooph Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 This mod is increasing joystick responsivenes. It lowers/eliminates the deadzone. Just see the vid. Its for people who dont have much time to fiddle around with more complicated mods. Hope You'll like it. This little thing actually helped me a lot. Im thinking about that more complicated mod (u can find link in the description). T.

VanjaB Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Thanks for this, going to try it. Where can I find these magnets like these?
trooph Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 Thanks for this, going to try it. Where can I find these magnets like these? Try searching the internet auctions in your country. Those 4 were like 1.5$ worth of cash. I found mine on an ebay like auction. But You might find them in stores like Radioshack in USA, just try googling that :) Is this compatible with the X52 Pro? Yes it should be as X52 pro is build in a similar way. The only changes i know about X52 pro is the material used and double spring. Interions are the same (except for MFD maybe)
txmtb Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Is this compatible with the X52 Pro? Yep, the mounts are the same. I can recommend the other method also where the magnets are re-located. It makes almost a perfect circle when using the tester. The magnet placement is important for centering so I did a somewhat modified version of it using the pictures in the link below. It allowed me to adjust the magnets with everything hooked up and then glue it in place to make it permanent once the centering was perfect. Magnet move: http://www.ala13.com/foro/viewtopic.php?t=6460 The joystick tester I'd seen used is attached, not sure where I found it anymore.joytester2.zip Win 10 64 Pro, MSI Z390 I7-9700K @5ghz Kraken Z63, 32Gb Corsair Dominator, MSI RTX-2070, 1TB NVME 2TB SSD's, TM Warthog, Pro Rudders, OpenTrack w/ IR Clip

I think this is the size he specified, or close to it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KV38ES 1/2 inch x 1/8" = about 12mm x 3mm, but please do check my math and what he specified in the video before paying.

txmtb Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) Looks nice :) SOme translation would be helpful :) Yep, I couldn't read a thing on that page, just followed the principle. If you mount it that way, after it's assembled back together you can adjust the magnet under the hall sensor to get it exactly centered. Then I glued mine in place. I used a thin piece of plastic with double sided tape so the screw still went almost all the way back in. I've seen where they used a think piece of can lid metal, which magnetic also. The blu-tac way you have to keep pulling the magnet and pressing it back down. This might help also: http://translate.google.it/translate?hl=it&sl=es&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ala13.com%2Fforo%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ft%3D6460 Edited October 22, 2013 by txmtb Win 10 64 Pro, MSI Z390 I7-9700K @5ghz Kraken Z63, 32Gb Corsair Dominator, MSI RTX-2070, 1TB NVME 2TB SSD's, TM Warthog, Pro Rudders, OpenTrack w/ IR Clip
javelina1 Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I did both the magnet upgrade, and the spring tensioner change too.
