Cibit Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 I thought it would be nice to get a plastic model kit of a hip to do with my son and have it on my PC desk. Came across this and found it quite interesting, seems people go to extremes in lots of ways. http://www.flankers-site.co.uk/modl_mi-8.html :pilotfly: i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB

AlphaOneSix Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Awesome. I used to be very much into models, but now that I know some of the real details, the little mistakes would just drive me crazy, but overall very nice.
Mogster Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Agreed, none of those models looks right around the cockpit area, the whole nose looks the wrong shape. That would bug the shit out if me...
Skulleader Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) Hello Cibit, Me too I like have the models (plastic or die cast) that I use with DCS on my PC desk and as I don't the time for created one "model kit" so I've bought few models (plastic) from internet, the brand is Easymodel. For the moment I've bought one Mi-8 (Russia Air Force), one Mi-17 (Cech Republic Air Force) and one KA-50 (Russia Air Force). In the future I will bought one or two P-51, A-10 and Huey... Of course it's not detailed that one model kit but for me it's perfect and I can compare the size between the Mi-8 and the KA-50. Here I join you the link of these model: Mi-8 & Mi-17: http://www.easymodel.net/index.php/Index/ProductDetail/id/290.html http://www.easymodel.net/index.php/Index/ProductDetail/id/289.html http://www.easymodel.net/index.php/Index/ProductDetail/id/288.html http://www.easymodel.net/index.php/Index/ProductDetail/id/287.html http://www.easymodel.net/index.php/Index/ProductDetail/id/286.html http://www.easymodel.net/index.php/Index/ProductDetail/id/285.html The KA-50: http://www.easymodel.net/index.php/Index/Search.html Here one photo from my PC desk: Bye and best regards, Skull. Tek Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Hi Cibit, If you think that is extreme you should check this out. nice A-10 in progress for the A-10C fans out there.... http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=262693 this guy is insane when it comes to attention to detail. I build models too and i love the scratch building stuff but i could never hope to emulate the work this guy does. This was my last completed build: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=260676&st=0&p=2471905&fromsearch=1entry2471905 It really is a great hobby. I would recommend it to anyone. 1 "In victory you deserve champagne, in defeat you need it" - Winston Churchill 3700X | X570 Aorus Elite | GTX 1070 | 32GB 3200 (3600)mhz Corsair | XFX 850W PSU | Lian Li Lan Cool 2 | Tir5 + TCP, VIVE Cosmos Elite | TMWH #08677 | Saitek Combat Pedals
