I played REBEL BASE mission multiple time and noticed my wingman just follow me just for sightseeing until he got shot down, I have sent command attack ground target but it seems to me that my wingman is not listening to me. My radio communication set to auto. Please give advise

You need to change your transmit selector switch to position 2 (UHF) to communicate with your Huey wingman #2. Don't think you can communicate with the Hind's.

It doesn't make it very clear anywhere in the sim that you need to use this selector switch but chapter 7 of the manual covers its use.

I don't know about Rebel Base, but in the instant action 'ground attack - hard', I can communicate with my wingman and he attacks the ground targets fine.

I have easy comms OFF and I communicate with the radio trigger (RAlt-\), not the communications menu (\). Actually, either way I could command my wingman to attack.

One thing to keep in mind is that your wingman won't attack if he can't see the target. Is he saying "negative" or just not replying at all?

Radio Trigger versus Comm Menu

I have easy comms OFF and I communicate with the radio trigger (RAlt-\), not the communications menu (\). Actually, either way I could command my wingman to attack.

This is something that has confused me from the get-go (as most things have !!).

I actually have BOTH Communication Methods programmed to my Hotas.

I don't really understand or see what the difference is between these 2 options because they both appear to provide the same options/commands.

The ONLY exception to that last statement is that the Comm Menu seems to Only be available when you are on the ground but once you are in the air, you must use the Radio Trigger ... I think.

But I'm not sure. Maybe I am still missing something ?

Can someone please clarify (either here OR via PM .. since it is off topic from the Original Post in this Thread).

Thanks in Advance.
