quick air to air question

Hi folks, could someone help me with this - been searching but obviously overlooking it when I select air to air mode and get sidewinder growl how can I get the cannon funnels to come up on the hud - Im using thrustmaster hotas and Ive tried to RTFM - cheers guys

Press "C" on the keyboard to toggle cannon mode.

When you're in A2A mode you can cycle them with the MMCB (the one you have to hold to get into A2A mode), IIRC.

thanks but no joy on pressing C - don't know why I've missed this but my focus has been on air to ground stuff

mmcb on hotas stick is the right hand button ? It takes a long press to get me into air to air mode with sidewinder growl but second press just takes me back into nav and air to ground menus ?

Probably take a look at your keyboard/joystick assignments in the options menu. Look for the assignment called "cannon" or "cannon toggle" or something like that. It should tell you what key/joystick button you have assigned to it.

Doesn't work like that in the A-10C as far as I'm aware.

ok. I'm out of my element then. But check your mappings anyways as a start.

When you're in Air to Air Master Mode, press DMS right or left to cycle the different preset funnels.

 

You'll have the growling Sidewinder selected along with your gun funnel.

Remember, HUD has to be SoI like with changing weapons over DMS.

Ignore the first page fools, they are thinking FC3 I think.

 

When you press master mode down till you are in air to air mode, then make sure your HUD is SOI, and then press DMS right to cycle through gun funnels.

 

If you want to add different gun funnel profiles, then you have to look low left and flip your IFFCC switch to middle position, then go to AAS on the top or something like that, there you see a list of all the checked gun funnel profiles selected. CHange it to your hearts contempt.
