fenmonster Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Hi Gang, I have put in the first GP-wz 40 in, using the last usb port on my computer. My question is : Does anyone know how the GPWZ40's perform while on a powerd USB hub? I want to run them all on a powered hub (I'll have at least 3 eventually) -Thanks, fenmonster
Boltz Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I've got three Arduinos running on a powered USB hub no problem though I don't have any GP-wz so I'm not sure how they will perform. I don't see why they would be any differenec just make sure that your USB hub has enough power. Mine has 7 ports and can output 3A. Another I have is a 4 port and outputs 0.5A. It doesn't allow anything other than a mouse, keyboard and external HDD. A-10C Cockpit Build Thread My YouTube Channel
agrasyuk Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Without any issues, tested. I actually will be surprised to find any usb device that is acting up when connected via hub (especially powered) Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
fenmonster Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Thanks guys. Good info. I can now rest easy and not worry about the powered hub. --Fenmonster
whartsell Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 For the most part you shouldn't have any problems except the usb spec calls for up to 500 ma per port so for 7 ports you could theoretically use up to 3.5 amps. That's assuming every device pulled max power at the same time (very unlikely) Arduino,EOS and Helios Tutorial Static ATC menu mod
