BigBadVuk
Hello ppl Since start of December i cant play nearly 1 single mission to the end - game crashes to desktop every time. I tried reinstalling C++. lib, i tried with new and older version of driver - nothing helped. Reading forum it looks like problem is not with me, but in 1.2.6. version. Im presenting you here with entire LOG dir in zip file, so i hope some1 will be able to tell me what is the cause of this instability? I also tried to send ticket directly to support, but im not sure did i managed to do it - after doing everything it is not in list of tickets.Log folder.zip

Have you tried a restore? or going back a ver. if during that time you updated your DCS ver. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. BigBadVuk
Thank you for reply! I reinstalled whole DCS world and modules again 2 days ago - but im haunted still with same random crash  Reverting system to some XX point few weeks ago is NOT an option: i dont want to fiddle with stabile and working system just because of 1 bad update. I saw that we now have 1.2.7 in beta testing - lets hope that next update wont be rushed and released in so poor shape as this one.
jib
I was having a crash after about 10 mins on every mission. I did a reinstall of DCS World and have kept from re-installing all the mods I had. I haven't had a crash since. (Sorry if that is bragging) How much memory does your system have? The minimum recommended is now 6GB, apparently DCS can crash if it goes over. I have 4GB but am thinking of upping it to 8GB as a Christmas present to myself. (At £130 for 8GB DDR 2 Memory is so bloody expensive now!) Mods I use: KA-50 JTAC - Better Fire and Smoke - Unchain Rudder from trim KA50 - Sim FFB for G940 - Beczl Rocket Pods Updated! Processor: Intel Q6600 @ 3.00GHz GPU: GeForce MSI RTX 2060 6GB RAM: Crucial 8GB DDR2 HDD: 1TBGB Crucial SSD OS: Windows 10, 64-bit Peripherals: Logitech G940 Hotas, TrackiR 5, Voice Activated commands , Sharkoon 5.1 headset. ,Touch Control for iPad, JoyToKey
BigBadVuk
Yes, i made mistake for not writing down right away my specs, my bad. AMD Phenom II 960 BE Kingston 8Gb DDr3 AMD 7970HD 3GB Various HDDs and 1 Intel SSD Everything runs under Windows 7 x64 ultimate, with latest updates etc.. It is far above minimum requirements. With a stroke of bad luck i lost my lua file with settings and bindings - i will bind again all commands to my HOTAS tonight and give it a try again. ENO
OP, while you've been reinstalling everything have you been giving any attention to the DCS folder in your Saved Games file? Renaming it to DCS1 and letting the game rebuild it has resolved many, many issues. You can then take most of your original custom files and swap them back. Often it's some corrupt config file... I would try a repair first... then a rename of the user / saved games / dcs file before you muck about with too many things. ENO
Im sorry for the double post - for some reason attachment manager refused to upload .log file, apparently only . zip is a valid solution. Yes, that used to frustrate me but you get used to it. I probably should have asked also- is this during custom missions in SP? MP? Or are they stock missions included with your module? Also- what modules are you running? Do you crash roughly 10 minutes in? Performing any activity? Seems that around 9 minutes in this happens: 00523.580 ERROR SOUND: source_is_playing(-1): invalid source 20 seconds later a bunch of things fail to load and then within 1 second everything stops. That early in a track file, crash file and dmp file may come in handy provided someone doesn't say this has already been fixed. If you zip up this log, with the crash and dmp files (both time stamped) along with the track (should be also kept in your saved games / dcs folder... I think it's happening early enough that the existing track should be in decent shape. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. BigBadVuk
It happens with A-10C and custom mission i made to test some things. I will do some testing, and i will clear log folder and start from 0 each time. I use A-10C , and Black Shark 1 with update to BS 2, sometimes i drive built in Su-25T as well. I can send you that mission as well, also , if you think sound is the issue, then i will revert to motherboard built in sound as main source - atm im using Logitech G510 keyboard as sound device. So far, i didnt noticed any pattern when this happen, but i will start to write down now what is going on and i hope i will find out something. Thank you all for trying to help. When i have some more data i will post it.
ENO
Hmmm- I'm not sure if it's sound on your end or the bug... I guess that'll take some attention from those who know more than I- there are some files in the game that simply don't do what they're supposed to do. We might not get any attention on 1.2.6 anymore, however... and I might suggest you try duplicating the issue with 1.2.7. The two installs are separate, so you're not hung with 1.2.7 if it makes things worse or you decide you want to wait through the beta. Anyway- worth a shot. It might already be fixed... in which case you're wasting your time doing any more reporting on the issue. Like I said- each time you crash it helps to package the items I listed before... dcs.log dcs (date stamp).crash dcs (date stamp).dmp Track file And if you can copy the original crash (dcs has stopped responding)- then I'm sure it can't hurt. BigBadVuk
I spent flying last night 3 hours , changing all kind of things ( weather, units involved, time of the day, seasons, weapons...) and i could not reproduce crash.. Hm.. Maybe it is gone ? In any case if it crashes i will upload all logs i can.

AtaliaA1
MSVCR100.dll crash is related to the C++ Redistribute updates. insure after you reinstall your OS that those critical (critical for gaming) updates are also installed. And after you reconfigure your flight stick you may want to copy the file to a location on another HDD for future repairs to your OS or PC. Although I believe you already have considered this, another user with your issue may not after reading this post. BigBadVuk
I installed them countless times, ( C++ libs.) I can access them through Visual studio,etc.. All other games are WORKING perfectly - and, lets not jinx it, A-10C as well for last 48 hrs. Im not going to mess with 1.2.7. - that is the job of testers and developing team. Im having enough problems with 1.2. 6. atm :)

BigBadVuk
Since 22nd December i didnt experienced one single game crash. That is fine, what bugs me is WHY? :D I didnt changed nothing, and most time I was not even online, so windows didnt update anything etc.. It looks like that in that particular mission, problem was arty firing into downtown of Novorusiysk. I tried to remove 1 by 1 part of mission, and once arty stopped firing there was no crash. As for what HOTAs im using, i binded everything on Thrustmaster T. flight. without any probs. Moderators can close this - I hope that bug wont come back to haunt me.
