So I got an X-65 as a gift recently (by the way, happy holidays to all you folks :D) and after only about a day of using it, I went to transport it to another location in a large enough bag and when I removed it I discovered the top right hat switch broke off, as seen in picture. Turns out that screw that held it in snapped off completely so I'm stuck with half a screw inside my stick.

Is there any way I can get that out? I'll be able to put the hat back on quite easily once it is but at the moment its impossible with the half-screw in

Looked at it, it looks like it does too much damage to the area around the screw. I want this to be reuseable. Plus it looks like it goes too far in, dont forget we've got electronics here

they should have stripped bolt kits small enough,

Small Drill bit, drill a small hole about 1/8 inch deep, screw in the designated size bit for the bolt remover (its essentially a drill bit with reversed threading), use pliers to turn it and eventually it will lock and start to pull screw out.

or Superglue something to the screw, let dry and light torque w/ pliers, since the screw shouldnt be very tight, SuperGlue should work, as I Doubt they used any type of LocTite on it.

or dremel tool, with radial bit, use it to cut a small groove that you can fit a small flat head screwdriver into (ie an Eyeglass screwdriver, or prolly alil bit bigger.)

Thanks for all the help guys, I kind of jury rigged it back on by using Last Glue and it seems to be holding up greatly. I'll remember this though just in case it breaks again.

Isn't there a manufactures warranty for a replacement?

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
