ronin516 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I Made a video with the BEST fix for the warthog. I have never felt anything smoother now. I have tried a few different things. And this fixes the issues with the hotas warthog. It goes into detail on complete disassembly. here it is :D ---> The only thing I might try after this is adding the Teflon o-ring some guy is selling.:pilotfly: 4
[DBS]TH0R Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 (edited) Very nicely done! I did not have to polish out the joints on mine but if the ceramic grease wears out I'll probably go the extra mile like you did. :-) Edited December 31, 2013 by T}{OR P8Z68 | 2500k @ 4.5 | GTX 1080Ti | 2x8 GB @ 1600 | TM Hog (extended 7cm) & MFG Crosswind (S/N 007) | TIR v5 WWII bomber formations | DCS P-51D: [TEST] TO distance / gross weight / temperature

bn880 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Heres a tip for the next video. Put some clothes on. Theres few chicks in the simming community. :) That's why he kept them off. :megalol: Or: Who can afford clothes after the price tag on the Hog. Good tip with the sanding, might try it someday (sounds like it will help) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
_Dredd Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Nice vid, interesting your rubber washer ring is on top. Mine was glued under the 'clutch plate' on the silver ring underneath. My presumption was to provide friction on the ball gimbal lip to remove axis play. ronin516 Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 washer Nice vid, interesting your rubber washer ring is on top. Mine was glued under the 'clutch plate' on the silver ring underneath. My presumption was to provide friction on the ball gimbal lip to remove axis play. MIne was also but was really messed up like a lot of other peoples. I only placed it on top to keep track of it for fitting a Teflon washer later on (Possibly)
ronin516 Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 That's really funny. After making the video I did realize I forgot my shirt LOL. My wife was laughing after I told her and showed her. She said " Oh well who cares?". A little secret--> that's why I magnified everything. I hid My Monster ab in blur on the edges LOL. And I like BN880's excuse. He's right about that.
