jay43 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 jay43 Thanks or asking. As long as it your design and does not look like a copy of my work you have my blessing good luck and I hope you have a great run. I really don't have the time for them all the best . Cool but the design shape remains the same that can not be changed just like a T shirt or jacket its always going to be the same shape. And with them being so small and simple i can not make the industry standard 43 changes to the garment for it fall outside of your design. The only elements i can change are type of stitching, hem, type of fabric and colour its not a pair of jeans if you understand what i mean. And for the record someone is doing them out of China here http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Thrustmaster-hotas-warthog-pig-rod-protection-cover-submersible/1303117812.html Even though someone else is doing them i can still do them but what i would like to offer everyone is a complete set of covers for all your devices you could even include your towers. So i need a firm head count of who wants them and who is committed to it i am not asking for any money up front just some sort of firm numbers perhaps for a proto run. We can even incorporate stick extensions and for helo pilots that have a collective that to. Eagles may soar high but weasel's don't get sucked into jet engines. System Spec. DonLduk Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 Don it appears that your new to the forms so let me give you a little advice. I hope I don't sound harsh and i do apologize if i do. Nothing is started until it is being sold and nothing is purchase until the PayPal transfer is complete. During the time I have sold items here on the form I am pretty sure the covers started the for sale thread. Many have offer to sell items a few have started and most have closed with only a few sales or never produced items . May be 25 percent of the people that have asked me to produce an item have punctually purchased it. It can be a very frustrating place to do business. All the best to whom ever starts making covers all I ask isthat you don't copy my design or presentation thansk DM Yes DM, its true and trust me, if it happens in real life, I can't imagine how much it happens in a forum environment. IMO, the best way to avoid false expectations is to setup a page or ebay and start from there taking orders, those are more realistics than the "i'm in" found in forums. What i meant with "the dust sale is restarted" is that there is an active thread now and people wanting / of ering it.

Deadman Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) jay43 Good Luck your going to do what you want . I guess i should have charged more with a price out of China that high. On the web site that i had made to sell covers. You guys are preaching to the choir here . In other words been there done that that and got the tee shirt. Sales for most of the items i have sold have been so small that it does pay to have the extra cost of doing business through eBay or the cost of a web site. My products beside the covers i made. Have all focused directly on A-10 parts reproductions. usualy the intrest in these item is so low that the cost to make the item ends the run or Real life gets in the way as has currently been the problem with the handle run. Hans-Joachim Marseille Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 So i need a firm head count of who wants them and who is committed to itI want one with my callsign on it, so please count me in. Nice initiative by you and your wife and thank you Deadman.
jay43 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Ok so we will get the initial design done this weekend and she will get it over to India for cross costing for a proto run Monday. The beauty of how small these are is we will be able to source and use left over fabrics that are no longer viable for the factory to sell as there just isn't enough of it left for them to make a run of 20,000 jackets or trousers. CMT will be cheap to ( cut make & trim ) due to the size. I will liaise with the wife but if we get a small run of proto's i may just throw them out here for dirt cheap to get some feed back. Quality will be tip top as the factory being used be one of the higher end makers. Eagles may soar high but weasel's don't get sucked into jet engines. System Spec. sndwv Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I might be interested in one for my Defender Cobra M5 ... would that be possible if I provide measurements? It looks naked next to the covered-up Warthog :) Will these feature the 'remove before flight' tags like Deadman's? (and if so, does anyone know what these look like on Russian aircraft, color/text-wise)?
DonLduk Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 I think Alibaba's are fake, they just took some picture from Deadman's found in google and sell it.
Deadman Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 SO what ever happen to these? Vaporware https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Grim_Smiles Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 SO what ever happen to these? Vaporware Certainly seems that way, which is unfortunate as I wanted to get a set for my Warthog at least. DonLduk Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 yep vaporware. it easy to make though. just take measurements, buy fabric and go to a tailor. I will get this done for me and post pics.
