The AP is very precise.

 

Maybe it is called "auto turn on target" and not "auto turn on firing solution" for a reason? :p

 

So which one is it? :D

Both, it will very precisely turn the helicopter to the target. But since the helicopter is not equipped with a centerline-mounted laser cannon, this means it does not point any of the weapons precisely to the target.

on a related note: If you are in forward flight and use route-mode + turn-on-target, and ready your vikhrs before completing the turn, the vikhr reticule will usually align with the shkval piper long enough to squeeze one off as you come around.

I am starting to think that the KA-50 is like the Airbus joke....
