Hotshot2 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Alright, so I purchased FC3 off the website instead of Steam because I had a 60% off coupon from my Track IR 5, I downloaded the installer and when I try to install it to my Steam DCS World installation it tells me "DCS World 1.2.7.23097 must be installed", but this is the exact same version I already have. Is there any way to enter my CD key in steam and downlad & install the game from there ? Thanks! - Bosco

Thanks! - Bosco You have to wait for the Active Keys to be integrated into the Steam data base, then Activate Non-Steam Game on Steam using the License Key. It isn't a non-Steam game anymore. Hotshot2 Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 Alright so I think i'm gonna have to wait for Steam to activate the keys because the manual install of FC3 will not work with Steam DCS World and Steam won't accept my FC3 key. :(

Installed DCS World and BS1 1.0.2. yesterday and tried to install the BS2 upgrade today, but keep getting the "DCS World 1.2.7.23097 must be installed" error. :huh: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "I don't like porn. siipperi Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I just used to purchase fc3 with my coupon code. Not sure if it's from x52 pro or track ir. Worked fine (once noob me was able to compleate purchase) but indeed need to wait to ED to send serial codes to steam.

Manual install of the download from our site unfortunately does not and will not (ever) work on Steam installs. This is because those installers are for our distribution from our website. Steam handles this through keys: when you register a key that they accept (which either happens automatically when you purchase on Steam, or through the manual activation dialog available in your Steam client), Steam itself handles download. Downloads from http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com are not relevant.
