If you lock someone with deltaH -6, outside missile range the circle will guide you to fly -6000m under them. Close to missile range, you get Gorka (r) and the circle will move to target altitude so you equalize altitude. It is saying you keep deltaH 0 after lock. There will be no sudden change in circle height as you approach missile range

Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)
lefuneste01 replied to lefuneste01's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
You do it with the miror view. You need to display reshade menu. I’m not using steamVR, I have a Varjo Aero, that is supporting nativelly OpenXR. -

Most Efficient BVR climb and Highest performance Speeds

The variables are current fuel consumption. It divides remaining fuel by current fuel consumption and uses TAS to find distance flown until tank empty -

Hi, when I have a radar lock at closer range e.g. with the helmet sight and the enemy is still more than 3nm or 4nm away from me, I can only use the IR missiles of the Mig and not the R27R. It will not launch though I have a valid radar lock and the enemy is still beyond 3 or 4nm away. Is that normal for that missile or is it a bug ? It is every time when you achive a lock in one of the short range radar modes but the enemy is still more than 3nm away that you can't fire the semi active radar missiles. Do they have such a long minimum range ? I doubt that.... Thanks in advance Revor

I don't think so Mr_sukebe. The Essex class carriers could easily generate 30 knots of wind over the deck, even in a dead calm. The Air department would then decide, based on the number of a/c that were spotted on the deck at the beginning of the launch cycle and the type of a/c and its load out to be launched, whether or not to use the catapults. The Navy had a desired wind velocity over the deck, 30 knots, that they would achieve using a combination of ambient wind and ship's speed. This was for launch as well as recovery. I have read stories about Jeep carriers (CVE's) that could not conduct flight ops due to lack of wind, and it wasn't because they couldn't launch them - they had a catapult, it was because it was deemed unsafe to recover the a/c with only 18-19 knots of wind over the deck.

Not a line: that’s just on the picture to describe HUD symbology. It shows as a director dot with range, occasional commands, and when turn radar on automatically selects it yes unfortunately, why I hope we get a flexible Lazur implementation

From a low level helicopter perspective the textures look pixilated and low in resolution in comparison to its counterpart, Afghanistan which is being developed along side Iraq. The field textures in particular look just like blurry satellite imagery with a lot of excessive noise thrown in to try and disguise the low detail textures. Flying fast through the mountains of North-Eastern Iraq, or tanking at high altitude this map is absolute superb. On rout to target with a helicopter on the other hand just makes me want to end the mission and fly anther map. Despite being developed at the same time and also by Eagle Dynamics, the Afghanistan map is far more detailed and seems in much higher resolution at low level compared to Iraq to me. The fields are especially convincing, lush with deep colours and definition but still blend in beautifully with the photo real look at altitude. There were a lot of complaints bout the state of Afghanistan at low level on first release and the developers absolute pulled it out all the stops to improve things and it is now for me at least the most convincing map ED has released not using all synthetic textures. Can we expect the Iraq map to receive the same level of detail at low level in the future for Iraq or is this the best detail achievable for this area for other reasons? I realise peoples perspectives differ, artistic styles differ between developers and that products will differ according to the technology available to the developers at the time. With both these maps being developed side by side and both by Eagle Dynamics, I hope we will see both maps up to the same standards.

Is it not possible for two different manuals fire different audiences to say slightly two different things?

1. Dessau and Spangdahlem have the same ICAO (EDAD) 2. Garz and Hahn have the same ICAO (EDAH) 3. Merseburg and Zweibrucken have the same ICAO (EDAM) 4. Bad Durkheim has no ICAO (should probably be EDRF) 5. Not quite sure that Altes Lager's ICAO is correct (DAMN)

Just in case someone is also having issue when the ch47f Linked lighting is ticked The Dim / Brt are doing nothing in the aircraft -> should change the screen brightness , but do not work. So, i provided a way to dim the physical CDU by linking it to the Key backlight information - if you check the CH47F linked ... Everything is controlled by the cdu knobs . You start the aircraft , fine, then the program receives the position of the knob -> 0 by default . This set all brightness level to 0 ! Just turn the knob and it should react. if you want it to behave like in DCS , leave the CH47 checkbox unticked. And i you don't want light management at all, tick the Global option that says that

cannot reproduce AFCS failure on cold start
sith1144 replied to Major Corvus's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
heres my track, with a vpforce Rhino. at some point I slightly open the canopy and close it again, after that I run an AFCS bit with master gain (FFB strength) at 0, then one at 100, then one with it fully off, then another couple at 100%. At no point does the AFCS align. is what I would say if the track wasn't too big? its made with the startup tutorial mission, and its 152MB and I have a limit of 50. uhh, it should be available here for 7 days https://limewire.com/d/po67L#wWstxlXvdL -

Agreed. If we look at it objectively, the module is pretty amazing. That said, I wouldn't expect anything further on this. -

Hello @NineLine, I deleted the older post to clean up the information concerning this potential bug. The Communication Menu binding of "/" (Backslash) work as long as there is weight on wheels. But once airborne this command no longer works until you've landed and returned weight on wheel when playing in multiplayer. The alternate command of ALT+Backslash works just fine both on the ground and in the air. I did a short flight so I could also post a track file on this form for you. Thank you again for replying to the older posts on here and in the EA Discord. Through_The_Inferno_CCS_v2.3.8-20250921-101557.trk

Altitude in the external view should be true altitude while the one in the cockpit is pressure one. Difference between these two is temperature effect. What's the temperature in the mission? Also, don't set QFE, almost nobody flies QFE anymore. You either set QNH or QNE/standard above the transition altitude.

The modeling of flaws is important and desirable. The US 4th gen RWR's need a bit more fallibility themselves. Though Soviet aircraft also lack the ground support that they were designed to work with, and it sounds like the SPO issue is not a design issue but a maint one. If so it should fall under random failures and not normal use.

ED, we need help as this module have been abondonned by Polychop
Maduce replied to peeter's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
I agree with @peeter. I may have a total of five modules that may slowly die. ED needs to figure out a way to continue to support and protect third modules from abandonment or in the event of conflict. I thought this was going to be resolved after the Hawk. I have been a customer of ED since the beginning, but I am having a hard time continuing to do so. Please ED listen to your retail customers, I want this community to continue to grow and thrive. -
Zielona Góra - Przylep Aeroclub The airport was established in 1957. It is home to Polish Border Guard planes and helicopters, numerous gliders, and light aircraft, and is also a popular location for parachute jumps. In 1983, an An-2 "SP-ANK" was hijacked and the pilot safely landed at Berlin-Tempelhof Airport. From 2000 to 2007, the legendary Polish aerobatic team "Żelazny" was stationed there.

Ok tried replace a fuel tanks with a Lmav for his smaller blast radius but nothing changed and the ambushe friendlies don't survive ,also look how much difference there're between the HUD indicated altitude and the real, even with modified QFE
