In the last few days I managed to gather some informations about Su-25's attack aircrafts from 461 ShAP based and Krasnodar AFB in Caucasus Military District. As far as I know, the unit was created in 1993. Nowadays unit got at least 34 Su-25 & Su-25BM single seat attack planes & Su-25UB two-seaters, organized in two separate squadrons. Most of the planes which belongs to this unit probably comes from attack squadrons previously withdrawned from East Germany and disbanded. Additionally at least 21 L-39C trainers can be found on the airfield. The total staff amount circa 620 personell. Lat time the unit leader became Colonel Valerij Kushnerev (Валерий Кушнерев). Or, lets say Kuschnerev, what a coincidence :) It's worth to notice that the most characteristic feature of the Su-25's from Krasnodar is an unusual "Red Wolf" insignia, painted on the both sides just under the front glass. 461 ShAP took part in most of the latest local conflicts in Southern Caucasus including Chechnya and Sth. Ossetia/Geogria. Unfortunately I didn't found any further informations. As far as I know, during the last air war over the Sth. Ossetia/Georgia unit, together with the 368 OShAP (Budiennovsk AFB) performed several airstrikes against georgian military assets. During one of the combat sorties performed in 13th August an Su-25 board no. "Red 46" took several hits from Georgian AA and made his way back to Krasnodar. This is still the only known mishap regarding to 461th ShAP. Most of the Su-25 losses over Georgia and Ossetia suffered the 368 OShAP. Few years ago there were plans to disband this unit in 2005, but as we can see squadron still perform various tasks over the Caucasus. Su-25UB no. '39' - side view: Su-25 board no. Damn it, I love this heli and I love this sim, love everything about it. I fly it all day long and cry when I have to go to sleep because I really like to fly it. I like it because it's difficult to fly, difficult to operate, so every victory, especially A2A brings tons of satisfaction. I lived through so many difficult situations and made it home for supper. It's a beautiful heli to fly, as the challenge is everything. I'm falling asleep every time while in cruise mode, because engines sing so beautifully, and yet she brings me home almost every time I get in trouble. Yes there are some bits and bobs missing, but then that is exactly what makes it challenging, and every successful mission brings a lot of pleasure. And now I must stop, can't waist any more of her time. I'll see you around! :pilotfly:

На душе легче станет, да и мозг лишним заполнятся не будет. зБД, лично для того чтобы удовлетворить ваши потребности и чтобы предотвратить данный дискурсии по поводу модели повреждений, я на LVTP-7 сделаю продвинутую модель повреждений. Вообще можно сдлеать небольшой алгоритм. Делаем Бокс. Если снаряд попал в правую стнеку Бокса, то вкл. аргумент левой модели повреждений. Если это аргумент пустой, то используем общую модель повреждений. Все, никто не страдает. Но это не значит, что такой метод войдет в патч, у разработчиков полно других дел, с тем жу А10С.

Под Вистой, в полноэкранном режиме оба ядра работают. Прирост FPS наблюдается.

Условия проживания моих двух компов: Настольный - локалка, населенная ламерами (80 процентов не знают что такое антивирус вообще). Трояны пытаются прицепиться регулярно. Условия защиты - локальные политики безопасности и KAV 2009. До этого стоял NOD32 3.0 + Comodo Personal Firewall Pro - комп при загрузке жестоко тормозил. При переходе на KAV троянов в системе обнаружено не было. Но тормоза ушли совсем. Про наличие антивируса я вспоминаю когда тот ругается на очередной троян, или требует обновлений. Думаю апгрейдиться на KIS, но с другой стороны - зачем, если и так все замечательно работает. Ноутбук - регулярные походы из дома на работу и обратно. Частое обращение с чужими флешками, подключение к чужим компам через Ethernet и Wi-Fi. Защита - та же - локальные политики безопасности + KAV 2009. Заразы пока не занес. Из плюсов - антивирь практически не грузит машинку. Машинка кстати всего-навсего Eee PC 901 - т.е. "тормоз по определению" по сравнению с "большими" ноутами. Так что от прожорливости предыдущих версий Касперского не осталось и следа. Осталась только болтливость. Но честно говоря после болтливости ZIS (ZoneAlarm Internet Security) лично на меня эта "болтливость" впечатления не производит. ZIS возмущался на каждый чих пользователя, конкурируя с UAC в Vista. PS. Да, в условиях засилия авторанных троянов - отключение этого самого авторана (Start->Run->gpedit.msc->Comp. Conf.->Admin. Templates->System->Turn Off Autoplay->Enabled->All drives) + отказ от Проводника в пользу Total Commander - один из самых важных бастионов безопасности.

How can you tell Evil?. The Pastel RWS use MFD for displaying threat picture and the new Mi-28N has several of them....or were you looking for external sensors?. All pictures I have seen of Mi-28 cockpits(even old banged-up prototypes) showed an SPO-15 display, so it would seem odd(to say the least) if the new up-tech'ed Mi-28N has no RWS - especially considering that the Mi-28 was mentioned specifically among the intended recipients of the Pastel system. Anyway, if anything one could argue that radar warning equipment is more important for Russian helicopters now than during the cold war. NATO ground forces tended to go for IR(Stinger) based mobile SAM systems(such as Avenger and Linebacker) against which an RWS is of no use, but in the more recent regional conflicts, Russian forces have faced airdefence systems of their own manufacture, which often involves radar for both detection and(another) for target acquisition.

Surely yes, but due to the coaxial rotors it is not the same classic scheme has. No significant banking moment.

The fact that the F-4 is no longer in service with as many airforces as the F-16 doesn't make the F-16 a better plane - simply one that is more practical to keep in the air for most of the "client" airforces that are allied with the USA. Look at your local taxi fleet - the best cars they can get ? or just the ones with the package that combined low operating costs with the best deal from the dealers... His note that the F-4 was a true all-weather multirole aircraft while the F-16 is a VFR light fighter that has been cobbled into a multirole aircraft through post design upgrades to allow it to be "pushed" onto client states has more than a grain of truth in it... Ask any current fighter pilot what he'd rather take into combat & the likelihood is that they'll tell you whatever it is that they fly at that time...
