  2. Caesar's Ghost......:disgust: Is it so much of a Stretch to assume that the Race is concluded on a Fair Spring Day that sees Sunny Skies without a Breath of Wind and I Dare say not a Smidgen of Turbulence? Are you telling me that Fair Conditions are a Myth? Honestly - I am sure that we can all admit that the FM needs a bit of work etc etc etc.....But surely there comes a Time when All that can be Said has been Said and Any more is just F*#king Annoying, would'nt you Say?

  3. But I'm going to try anyways. Dragon Age (and other games on that list) have this concept in it known as a "storyline" and "character development." Both of these ideas are something that is present in all of the great movies and novels from over hundreds of years. Not gonna lie, Black Shark doesn't exactly have one. Nothings wrong with it not having one, because obviously sim fans don't buy the game for the intriguing story and narrative the developers designed to lead you through. Generally speaking, the story elements and the gameplay mechanics play a massive role in choosing the Game of the Year when chosen from professional game reviewers and the like. Strength in numbers and fanboyism decide who wins in the "User Choice Voting." It doesn't mean they are right, it doesn't mean they are wrong, it just means they cared more than the other guys.

  10. Here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=39687 But, it's not in one post or even on one page, it's all spread out throughout the 180+ pages of the thread. A few of examples: Cannon recoil; the pilot described it as something like sitting in a metal box that is being hit by a huge hammer at 3000 RPM. It was used as the last weapon when there were no other weapons to use. The recoil sometimes put some avionics out of order and even some buttons could fall off in the cockpit. Shooting the cannon can be seen at around 1:35 in this video, you only see a couple of seconds as the camera jumps out of place and shuts down: The aiming sight reflector had two positions; shooting (up) (rockets, cannon, missiles) and bombing (down). It's supposed to be adjusted manually by the pilot according to the attack. It's not possible to see the pipper if the reflector is in the wrong position. Then there was something about the aiming sight functioning when you are shooting guided missiles. IIRC when you push the trigger to launch the missile, the pipper won't stay in the spot you designated it to but you need to keep it there by maneuvering the aircraft. And also something about laser cooling. Not too biggies. There was no full information about it available when LOMAC was made. We'll see it in DCS: Toad then. :D

  12. Same here, Cougar works flawless under Windows 7 although i had the missing STTubeDevice203.dll error too on installation but with the 2007_HCO_Vista_64_RC1 driver instead. These are the steps to follow (got it here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=45707): Cougar work nice in Windows 7 64bits RC and Windows 7 64bits Ultimate. Method for correct installation is the comment by PoleCat. 1. Uninstall everything you have installed so far and reboot. 2. Download drivers http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index...3&pid=50&cid=1 Special attention in download x64, NOT x86. 3. Unplug USB of Cougar of the Computer. 4. Deactive UAC in Windows. 5. Right Click on the Driver downloaded, and press Properties. 6. Go to Compatibility column, in Compatiblity Mode, mark this and select 'Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)'. In bottom mark 'Execute this program with Administrator permissions'. Click OK. 7. Execute installation file drivers, follow all steps, not forgotten installation in one step claim connect the USB of Cougar to the computer. Complete all steps. 8. Restart computer. 9. Click Right in 'HOTAS Cougar Control Panel' and select Properties, in Compatibility column select in bottom 'Execute this program with Administrator permissions'. Click OK. 10. Fly into the skies. Here's another one but this i did not use. I didn't had to go through the entire DATA IN and DATA OUT crap: 1- Hotas unplugged 2- Install 2007_HCO_VISTA_64_RC1 drivers (the Windows Vista 64 bits version) 3- Plugged the hotas when asket to. 4- Got the DATA IN adn DATA OUT driver problem as mentioned on the first post. 5- Went to START -> CONTROL PANEL -> VIEW DEVICES AND PRINTERS 6- Right click on THRUSTMASTER HOTAS COUGAR and select PROPERTIES 7- Go to HARDWARE, select DATA IN and click PROPERTIES 8- Go to DRIVER IN and click un UPDATE DRIVER button 9- Select BROWSE MY COMPUTER FOR DRIVER SOFTWARE 10- Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\HOTAS" using the BROWSE button and click NEXT 11- Windows finds the DATA IN drivers 12- Repeat step 8 to 11 but with DRIVER OUT. 13- Done, now the DRIVER IN and DRIVER OUT are installed and working properly, no more "hardware problem" with the Cougar and everythiong working fine, including Foxy. If you still can't get it to work, please report back. In the mean time i'll look deep into my memory what steps i did to make it work (did already so much in Windows 7 i can't remember every single detail...LOL!) BTW: it's about time that Frugals gets back in the air...

  15. Hi, I thinked much time about these theme and I have basically two options: - Option one is to deinstall LockOn on and kick the box away - Option two is to pack all my frustration into this thread Well- Both options are bullshit but I dont want to silence my feelings even more time! At first: I think that it is okay that we can upgrade some textures, 3D models, and modify some payloads if there is a way to control all of these changes and to give all the same possibility as well. I`m very thanksfull about people who construct models, sounds and textures for free in sometimes very very good quality. But: Some modifys aren`t good! I mean speacially the fact that it is possible to read out LUA-files and show it in a seperate programm simultanly! Same as for modify vectors of missiles, angles of RADAR areas and increase or decreasing limits of gravitation of missiles and aircrafts! To change all these facts are simply cheating! What to hell is the intention of these .... ideotes to write programms to see more them all the other members?! Is it a nice victory to kill other pilots with unfair methods?! These guys are better pilots if they are able to write new programms to read out the enemy?! So for examble: I saw a Su-27 pilot shooted a ET missile without any lock about a range about 10clicks visually in a 3 a clock position from low to high. Before the missile impact- the other player quitted imediatelly. I saw these procedeure tree time in a half hour from different pilots. All of them joined the game 1 minute later again!!! I wasn`t able to lock an enemy target with my Su27 RADAR witch had a range about 20 clicks hot and level at some servers! I saw pilots wich pressed the print key a lot while a missile was on the way! I saw Flanker pilots wich intercepted a medium flying target for range about 100km! The answers allways the same: "My LockOn was frozen- sorry" (After quitting imediatelly) "Lag" "I saw you visually" (About a range of 100clicks?!) "G-Limit works here" " locked you with EOS" (frontal about 50 km?!" "I saw the missile :) " (from six a clock low?!) As for the future I won`t join any servers wich using modifications. Graphic mods should be okay- the rest is bullshit! Who is not able to use the given options by LOMAC can switch to other simulations ... Maybe. Some of some called "modifications" simply destroy LockOn and hurt the community!!! "possible badest" pilot of the world of LOMAC, TOMCATZ
