anyone who professes their support for ed needs to stop pretending that the saturation of the sim market with the likes of "flight" is going to be a good thing for ed. that's my main point.
if it wasn't for military sponsorship, instead of dcs:flying legends, we'd probably be having our own dcs: flight. just keep thinking that coexistence is possible, right up until the extinction of the realistic sim. look at what 777 software stoops to in order to compete in the market. aiming sights and colored scarf dlcs. sigh.. that wasn't necessary just a fear years ago.
i remember when everyone used the same "everyone wins" argument on the tom clancy game forums right before everything became casualized/consolized. ghost recon turned arcade? it's ok, we still have rainbow six. rainbow six converted into a silly mess? it's okay, we still have splinter cell. and so on...
ridicule and criticize it like a true sim enthusiast should while the last bastion still stands. microsoft flight is abject garbage, and i wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. that design philosophy of low cost, low quality, high bottom line will be the death of sims and pc gaming in general.
you think they make easy games for the good of the casual gamer? they invented that demography so they can sell low quality, low production cost, highly advertised games to them. so you go ahead and do the sweet talking "everyone's a winner" platitude, i'm done with that nonsense.
and people who are intimidated by a game/sim...i can't begin to describe how pathetic that is. why do you play sims/games if you don't want to be challenged?
