  1. Its one USB port per gauge - which is needed as they are powered by USB. I've found a bunch of powered hubs that don't have strong enough PSUs, got a 13 Port Manhantten hub on its way to try that out. Cheers Peter
  2. Hi Guys I hadn't seen that much on SimMeters, so thought I'd check them out. All in all pretty good, very smooth operation, here's a quick video of the gauges in action. Cheers Peter
  3. Nice work Cheers Peter
  4. Nice work, I'm interested, gt an approx price in your head? Cheers Peter
  5. I just checked the simvibe site, only Flight Sim I saw was X-plane, have you got Sim vibe running with any DCS titles? I like the idea of using Telemetry so you don't get randon shakes from ATC. Cheers Peter
  6. I'm interested, are you going to enable ordering via the Simpits site? cheers PEter
  7. That sounds like you've got a short circuit somewhere Cheers Peter
  8. Do you, have sufficient separation between the inputs of the controller card and the output of the phidgets led? I had a similar issue a few years ago, basically crosstalk was the root of the problem. You can check by powering off the phidgets led. Cheers Peter
  9. Whenever you are ready to share this, I'd be interested. Cheers Peter
  10. That'll be good for me. Cheers Peter

  12. Nice work - thanks for sharing Cheers Peter
  13. very nice work pitbldr, in one of my earlier sims I had used two leds, definitely the way to go. Also check these flat top leds, they basically don't need a lot of diffusing at all. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=290592133518
  14. New Zealand - the scenery is spectacular :) - unfortunately not much of an attack air force left any more
  15. thanks for the effort you are putting into this! cheers Peter
  16. This is amazing work guys, congrats
  17. Should have included a photo of the platform itself, it doesn't do the inverted thing (but I'm sorta glad about that, its hard enough as it is keeping stuff from flying about the pit when maneuvering) Here's a link to the platform which the pit is sitting on. Its three feet high, which does place limits on how how the cabin can be on top of the platform. http://www.ckas.com.au/2dof_systems_37.html I've had a couple of near misses with the ceiling inside the house... so its time to build a shed with plenty of head room ;) If you ever really want to do the inverted flight thing head to the smithsonian in DC, this thing is a hoot, definitely not something you can fit in the average living room though......
  18. Barf bags haven't been required yet :) but there have been a few times where I've needed to stand back from the platform and get a breath of fresh air on terra firma.
  19. Hi Guys Though I'd share what finally came together last weekend. LOMAC driving a 2 seater 2dof motion platform. Its been driven by FC 1.1 using the LUA export into a filter that in turn drives a UDP interface for the platform. If you can't be bothered with the overview of the pit wind forward to around the 2:30 mark and you'll see the platform in a roll. Cheers Peter
  20. +1 for US style please. very nice work.
  21. Nice work on the Virtual Panel Mnemonic, real impressive. Cheers Peter

  23. Uncovered these guys recently: http://melbourneflightsimulators.com.au/index.php?p=product&id=239&parent=77 Currently running at AU10,900, and made in Melbourne.
  24. I've scored pedals, collective, and cyclic from these guys. Real nice kit, only downer is a lack of buttons on collective. http://www.flightlink.com/ http://www.flightlink.com/hardware/rotorwing/seat.html
