  1. Still a thing in 03/2021. Ship Objects appear in Tacview, after activation there are 2 Objects in the same location.
  2. The error is only reported by me and it would take a long track file to reproduce. Thank you, but i think this would be a waste of time for the ED team. BTW: I set the tankers to airspawn, and the error is gone. I think it is connected to the "LandingReFuAr" waypoint

  5. Is it possible for a tanker to land, refuel and takeoff again? (without mist/moose) I tried the LandingRefuAr waypoint: 0 - start waypoint 1,2,3,4 - rectangular course 1> 2> 3> 4> "Switch Waypoint" to 1 (Works. The tanker flying until they're empty) 5 LandingRefuAr (set to 10 min) 6 (Near WP 1)> Switch Waypoint to 1 After landing, the tanker shuts his engine down and disappear 30 minutes later.
  6. An thats where money strikes in the games industry. Low profit marges, demaning gamers who want cheap products (yes, 40-60 USD for a Module like the F18, F16... is cheap), feature after feature ... A fundamental discussion that cannot be 'won'. The only thing you can do is keep it balanced.

  9. Memory leakage is not a Bug (as ONE bug). Normaly it's more like a "company procedure". DCS have a big codebase, there must be a huge amount of leaks and its very difficult to pin them down. When you push coders to hard, the tend to forget releasing memory ... So, this is more like a wishlist because ED have to put resources (and money) to this task.
  10. DCS ist great game and ED doing a great job to expand it with new features. But: The amount of wasted ressorces is huge in DCS. The dedicated Server leaking memory like hell. I know, how complex c++ is (no garbage collector). Especially with such a big codebase like DCS ... Gigs of sourcecode to maintain. Great job! I could only image, how hard this must be. But please: Dont push your coders so hard. Give them time to fix stuff. We startet with 32 GB of RAM last year in the summer. Now we are at 128GB of RAM and need to restart every 12h. The instances consume the same amount of RAM after startup (okay, maybe 200-300MB more). The increase was necessary only to fix the leakage - and its getting worse with every Patch. 1) This is our Server after starup (11:57 AM) . Pretty good for a complex game like DCS! 2) This is the Server at 8:55 AM, next morning (21 hours): 3) Lets terminate the dcs.exe processes: 4) Dive into the nonpaged pool: 5) Definitly from DCS.exe - no driver or OS issue. 66 GB wasted in 17h. Thats a total of 500 MB per Instance per h. I know, there are worse things out there. But DCS schould not be like "just restart every 6h". So ED, please! Put some effort into fixing memory leakage. It is getting worse with every patch. Throwing more and more Memory at Leakage is not the way to go.

  13. Hi everybody. We experienced a strange Bug(?) in TacView. Our Server uses RealTime Telemetry and the playback delay is set to 0. When we debrief the flights, some of the players have a 10-minute delay, some not. Maybe it is correlated to the Version: User WITH a 10-minute delay all uses TacView Advanced (3 User) User WITHOUT a 10-minute delay uses Tacview Standard or Free (6 User) When a user WITHOUT a playback delay upload his acmi File - and the user WITH the playback delay uses this file > the delay is gone. When a user WITH a playback delay upload his acmi File - and the User WITHOUT the playback delay uses this file > 10 Minute delay. Is this related to a setting in DCS? (Didn't found anything related in Special > TacView) Or is related to the Version (Bug)? I think (!), this is new since the latest DCS Update. Because old files (before the update) dont have a playback delay.

  20. Greetings :-) Does anyone know if inheritance is possible with Liveries? In the DCS Liveries folder, skins are always completely new. The default livery seems to be a fallback. We are currently creating skins for our wings (50+ skins). The difference between the skins is the name on the cockpit. Since each skin requires 60MB+,.. well quite a lot. It would be great to use one parent skin and create "child objects" from it. Is that possible? Is it possible to define a "fallback skin" via the .lua? Or use the textures from other directories?

  23. Hello and thanks for the comment. I looked at the track and played the mission a few more times. I have 3 different DCS installations (on different partitions). One for VR, one for video recordings and one on a notebook for mission creation. The map crashed constantly on all these partitions. Other members of our wings also reported this. Now the good news: the last few days the error has not occurred. Our wing destroyed all platforms on the map several times - no crash so far. The last patchlog says "DCS hangs after destroying objects - fixed." It may have something to do with it? If the error reappears I try to post complete crash logs (and yes, full crash dump was off).   25. Hello everybody. How do you handle server restarts with your dedicated server? In about 9-12 hours our server runs out of memory (I guess due to leaking). dcs.exe starting with 4GB per process (4 Instances on 1 server). 12 hours later the process is about 7 GB. With version 50979 one server restart in 24 hours was sufficient. Currently we need 2-3. 13:00 8.89 GB free space (32GB total available) 01:00 1 GB remaining 04:00 out of memory
