  1. It's a mystery to me but I can't get Simshaker to work with the OH-6....I have added the following lines of code to the Simshaker.lua file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\SimShaker\SimShaker for Aviators Beta\Data: Replaced: elseif obj.Name == "UH-1H" then With: elseif obj.Name == "OH-6A" then dataTable.name = "Mi-8MT" dataTable.rpm = string.format("%.2f", get_param_handle("RRPM"):get() * 2 / 3) elseif obj.Name == "UH-1H" then But nothing. I had the same problem when the OH-58 was released. I am using a Gametrix Jetseat with the USB connection instead of the audio jack. Perhaps that is the problem. Does anybody have an idea?
  2. Just decided to fire up the Hip for a quick spin after a long time and I was shocked by how bad the cockpit looks in the latest version of DCS. Lighting and shadows are completely off and unrealistic. Not how I remember the Hip from the last time I flew this module. I’m running a vanilla install with no mods installed. I checked the forums and noticed that this issue has already been raised and discussed back in 2020 without ANY comment or solution from ED? All threads regarding this topic have been merged in the Bugs and Problems Section and locked for comments. @BIGNEWY How is this possible? I understand this is an older module but the cockpit used to look fine. The lighting in this module is obviously broken and needs to be updated.
  3. Thanks for your guide,..I am going throug it and making some changes to my installation and system right now. I have a question about the Compactor tool. Do I need to run it everytime after a DCS update? What about mods that I have installed with OVGME? Do I need to run Compactor on a vanilla install before adding mods? Or maybe I should compress my mod-folder before copying them with OVGME? I have also noticed that the link to OpenKneeboard’s guide to sizing is not working. Thanks again for your hard working and sharing your knowledge!
  4. The thing is...speaking for myself...I need to be hyped up a bit into spending $50... As it stands now, I am not hyped. Hype me!...Please hype me!
  5. @BIGNEWY Is there any information that you can share with us regarding feature videos or tutorial videos for the CH-47 prior to launch?
  6. Speaking of video’s,…did anyone from ED make a statement that they will be releasing some tutorials prior to launch?
  7. @Thomas_GER I have a similar setup. For my understanding what trimsetting do you currently use?
  8. Are any of you guys using Simhaptic with the Gametrix Jetseat?
  9. I tried this and used "OH-58D" instead of "UH-60"...but it only added very faint effects. I have three SimShaker.lua files on my computer...what's the location of the one that you are modifying?
  10. I’m annoyed by the lack of updates for this map and the lack of communication and accountability by OnReTech. I’m disappointed for believing the hype and enthusiasm with which this map was sold to us. I’m sorry to say but I regret buying this map and wish I spent my money on something else.
  11. Doh!...that makes much more sense ofcourse... Thanks for coming back to me on this.
  12. @FalcoGer I just read this comment that you made some time ago. Do I understand correctly that you need to pull your throttle levers back when taking fire?…Can you tell me more about this procedure? Thanks!
  13. Thanks @corbu1and @TZeer…that’s what I needed to know.
  14. I guess you would need to have some kind of center detent to know exactly where to place your joystick after trim…and you need to be very quick to avoid the control jump. That’s what I have as well. And the ‘Joystick without springs and FFB’ works very nice. Do you use the Force Trim release button every time you reposition your stick? Because I think it’s benefit/ impact is quite limited with our setup.
  15. I don’t think the ‘Instant Trim’ and ‘Centre Joystick Trim’ options are meant for self centering joysticks with springs. The ‘Joystick without springs and ffb’ option is probably the one that works best for you since you are using a springless, non centering joystick. Please someone correct me if I’m wrong
