  1. First you say that there is no one true FoV to rule them all, and each monitor is apt to be a different size, etc, and then you say the default FoV will stay the same no matter the monitor. Of course the default FoV will remain the same no matter the monitor, and of course that it can be adjusted to fit the normal human vision by default, on every monitor. If you want additional vision on a larger monitor, that is your will, but that doesn't make "the realistic FoV". Realistic FoV is the one of the human eye, and it could be set by default, but I can't set it with the zoom option myself, because I have no clue what should it be like, but the developers could take a photo from the cockpit of an aircraft with a normal lense, and then recreate that FoV in the game.
  2. From my experience, larger monitor just makes objects appear larger and gives better details. I used Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3 on a smaller 1366 x 768 monitor and on a larger 1920 x 1200 monitor, and the larger one with better resolution didn't change the camera angle, it just made objects appear larger on the screen and gave me better details.
  3. Can I change it somehow in the game settings?
  4. Can you give me some advice on how to set the camera angle in the F1 view to be the same as in the F2 view? I find the camera angle in the F2 view to look natural. I want to be switching between the F1 and F2 view during a dogfight and have the same perspective. Server.lua file has got lots of different parameters, and I don't feel competent nor confident to be changing anything there. I mentioned zooming in and out because I saw on You Tube people are doing that in order to track enemy aircraft. I could zoom in a bit to try to match the F1 view to be similar as the F2 view, but it feels kind of shitty thing to do, because that way I can't match them to be exactly the same.
  5. Setting the default field of view for the cockpit F1 view to be the same as in the F2 view would have been just fine. I find the enemy aircraft looking at F2 view, and when I switch to F1 view, it is gone, because the field of view is much more wide.
  6. If this simulator wants to be "realistic", then: 1. Make the angle of view/perspective from the cockpit the same as of the human eye, current perspective is too wide, targets look more distant than they really are, and when landing, it looks that I am closer to the ground than I really am; 2. Human eye can't zoom in and out.
  7. Oh, lol, I have tried to delete the throttle assignment and add it once again, and the program recognized the throttle on my joystick as JOY_SLIDER1, and now it works!
  8. Hi everyone! At High settings, I've got around 20 FPS in single player mode, which is not quite enough for normal flying. And at Medium settings, I've got 60-80 FPS in single player mode, which is fabulous, but the graphics are not that pleasing. Can someone help me what things to lower in High settings to get FPS 30-40, and not to ruin the graphics too much?
  9. But really, is there any way to set the angle of view for the F1 cockpit view to be the same as in the F2 view? Because, the F1 view from cockpit is unnaturally wide, while the F2 view is normal. I would love to purchase a warbird, a Mustang or a Thunderbolt, but when I look from the cockpit, all aircraft look like a tiny spot of dust on my screen, almost invisible. How to dogfight like that, lol.
  10. Oh, lol, I have just found out that I have deleted the "Config\View" folder in the game folder instead of the "Users" folder. Because I didn't know where that "Saved Games" folder was. Now, I have deleted the snap views in the right folder under "Users" and "Saved Games", and all cockpit views are now reset to default, including both snaps and the angle of view. Thanks to Grim Reapers and his video about custom skins.
  11. Hi! I have installed DCS World recently. I see the throttle command is properly set to JOY_Z, but it won't work. It works fine in my other flight simulators. I've got Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick.
  12. Hi everyone! I have installed DCS World three days ago. Yesterday, I was trying different cockpit views, but I have pressed something, and my cockpit head view was moved to the left. Also, I have accidentally changed some snap views. So, I have deleted the "Config\View" folder in a try to reset all cockpit views to default, but it didn't help, and all cockpit views remained the same. Later, I have figured out the solution how to center the head view: "RCtrl + RShift + Num5", but the snap views were still messed up. When I tried to delete the "Config\View" folder once again, I saw it wasn't there, it wasn't recreated automatically, so I have repaired the game, and the folder was back again. But now, suddenly, my cockpit angle of view has changed, it has become wide almost like a fisheye lense, instead of a normal lense, the image is distorted, and the instruments look too small. In the F2 view, there is a control that does what I need for the cockpit view: "RCtrl + * or / or NumEnter", but this control does not work in the F1 cockpit view, it does nothing when I apply it. And "* or /" just change the zoom, but not the angle of view. Is there any solution how to reset the cockpit angle of view (or "zoom") to default?
