  1. I noticed since ED has updated the forums, almost nobody's signature is displayed except for a couple of Forum Admins. I believe the Forum Admin will have to enable signatures globally for everyone in order for them to display again.
  2. Hornet Flight Model Well said! I'm no expert either and I want to make it clear too that I'm not complaining. I'm very grateful for the Hornet we have. I'm just saying that the drag at high altitude doesn't seem realistic. The Hornet overall has come such a long way too. It's in my opinion one of the most capable multirole modules we have in DCS despite the few flight model "quirks" and it seems like it just keeps evolving for the better. I've personally never flown any fighter jet and wouldn't claim to be an armchair expert either by any means lol. I'm sure ED will listen to the community's feedback. :)
  3. High Altitude Drag/Flight Model I'm no expert however, it does seem like the flight model could use an update. The Hornet feels like it has more drag depending on the loadout at high altitude vs low altitude. I sometimes struggle anywhere above angels 25 at a 5-7 degree climb even when the aircraft is clean to get above 300 knots especially at angels 30. According to the Natops 200 manual, the F-18C should easily be at somewhere near Mach .8 or more at 25,000-30,000 feet and burn less fuel with the air being thinner. Several variables affect this like the weight, loadout, et cetera however, I do believe this should be addressed eventually. Again, I'm no expert. Just doesn't seem correct in the simulator to me.
  4. It seems the A-10C is under-powered and under performs. Especially after a rollout from a bomb dive/cannon run, et cetera. It just seems like there isn't a realistic amount of power when trying to regain altitude. Bleeds out too fast however, I'm no expert. Seem's like it's been referenced in detail in this thread here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=274463
  5. Flashlight would be awesome!!!
  6. That DID THE TRICK!!!! Thanks HC_Official!!!
  7. After a complete uninstall and reinstall of the Virpil Software (Latest Version), I matched my settings to yours. Looks like the only difference was the POV1 mode needed to be set to 4B4W however, I'm still experiencing the same behavior from the 8Way/Trim bindings. I have to keep pressing vs hold to trim? I've got a ticket in with Virpil to see if they have a solution as well.
  8. I've attached a screenshot, Yes POV1 is configured in the VPC Config. In the tester the light will flash red then blue unless I hold it perfectly in the direction position almost like it's conflicting with Up Right, Up Left, Down Right, Down Left.
  9. Here are some screens of my profile and button mapping. Everything seems to be correct however the 8way Hat/Trim Button's respond as a single click instead of hold.
  10. Just got a new Virpil WarBRD Base mounted on Monstertech Seat Mounts w/Stock Gambles & Heavy Springs. I'm using the Thrustmaster F/A-18C Hornet Stick on the base. Installed the Virpil Software (Latest Version), updated the firmware, created profiles, have everything mapped in DCS, et cetera. I'm experiencing an issue with the 8 Way Hat/Trim Switch not responsive on the Hornet Stick. In the Virpil Software Button View, I see when I press the hat up/down/left/right the input reads on, off, on, off and so on. So basically I have to keep pressing the trim hat to get the aircraft to trim as opposed to holding the hat to trim the aircraft which is a LOT quicker and the trim behavior I'm used too with the Warthog Base. Does anyone know the fix for this?
  11. @Wags. I too also have an RTX 2018 TI [EVGA XC ULTRA] paired with an I9-9900K! I was just curious what's your page file settings? Do you have window's manage that or do you have a specific amount set?
  12. "Realistic TDC Slew" unchecked in the F-18 special menu. Can confirm that the Maverick F's do not auto lock after holding over a target for a second. I've got to press Throttle Designator Depress to lock a target however, I DO LOVE not having to hold down the depress to slew anymore with this new simplistic mav mode. Not using VR btw. -HOLIDAY
  13. Just placed my pre-order through the E-Shop!!! #stoked
  14. With the exception of Separatist Aggression, this is by far my new favorite mission!!!
  15. Are you trying to use the maverick's in DCS:A-10? If so DCS is an actual simulator not an arcade game and they have incorporated many intricate and more realistic weapon deployment systems. Solution to your problem, read the manual. Your one button away from success. When you have your maverick's powered on and your maverick aligned your targeting pod screen will come on. From there you may scan in your hud reticle a small SOI box. Once you have that where you want it. Hit the MAV button one more time and it will align your target camera with the reticle on the hud and you may then slew the camera to your target. Once you find what you want to mutilate, hit TWS Up and release the weapon my friend!!! Happy hunting :)
  16. You can get DCS:A-10C now for pre purchase. I have it as well as alot of members of the SCSimulations community and it's great!!!! I can't wait to see the progress of the beta evolve until the final build is done. I have to say Mat Wagner and team have done an excellent job on this sim. I can't stop flying it and I have been very impressed with this since I bought the pre purchase. I would love to have the F-16 in the same detail with the next release especially with the new Nevada terrain would make for some great Red Flag!!!
  17. No questions asked, hands down I think DCS/ED would definately make a killing if they did DCS:F-16. There is already a huge community waiting for a stable/realistic simulator for this airframe from pit builder's to the entire falcon community. Even with the future release of the mysterious BMS "Super Open Falcon" I don't think making the decision to do the next module as the F-16 would be a bad choice. We have A-10C now with the release of the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog, and we already have Thrustmaster's Cougar (F-16 Replica HOTAS) as well as Thrustmaster MFD's. I would be very surprised if DCS made the mistake of not providing the community with a quality F-16 simulator. You can't go wrong from a marketing perspective, this will be the biggest thing since DCS:A-10. Also with the unclassified data available for the F-16, as well as multi-role Air to Air, and Air to Ground capabilities this would be a great addition for the next DCS module in my opinion as well as a HUGE amount of other fan's of the F-16 worldwide. -HOLIDAY
  18. Nice Skin!!! Answer to your question is no the 8th VFW in real life is an F-16 only squadron. You can look them up in the aircraft database by tail number at http://www.f-16.net :)
  19. Ok got it figured out!!! Thanks for Gys and Valery's new F-15C Model for Lockon Flaming Cliffs 2!!! Either way it will be available soon for SCSimulations.com. Here is a preview of my plane's new paint job so far and a preview of my home cockpit progress (actually an F-16 blk52) -Holiday Community Developer SCSimulations.com
  20. I have also tried extracting the F-15C-mod.cdds file. I successfully extracted all of the original .tga and .bmp files and replaced them with my new .bmp files. Then I used the CDDS Studio utility to try and create a new .cdds file with my new skins and I have had no luck. I read that you must make sure all of your .bmp and .tga files are 24bmp because the CDDS Explorer extract's them at 32bmp so I made sure to convert all of the files to 24bmp and I am still getting an error, with no success of creating a new .cdds? Can anyone help me? This is the error message I am getting with CDDS Studio: TexToDDs.exe -noise <Source Tga file> <Dest dds file> <alpha decrease by miplevel> TexToDDs.exe <InDir> <extention> <OutDir> TexToDDs.exe -complex <InDir> <extention> <CDDS FileName> TexToDDs.exe -dump <CDDS FileName> <OutDir> TexToDDs.exe -single FileName format mip outfilename TexToDDs.exe -xml <Project FileName> <CDDS FileName>
  21. Ok, I just tried that and I still have the default skin's that came with the model's?
